Add a Lead Gen Form to your ad in a Classic ad set

When you create an ad set with the lead generation objective, you’ll need to add a Lead Gen Form to the ads in the ad set. If you create a new ad, you can create a new form or select your form while creating your ad. If you select an ad from your existing content, you might need to attach a Lead Gen Form separately.

The status of your ad will show as Needs attention if you need to attach a Lead Gen Form to it.

To attach a Lead Gen Form to your ad:

  1. Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

  2. Select the correct campaign group and campaign on the Campaigns and Ad sets tabs.

  3. On the Ads tab, move your cursor over the ad name and click  Edit.

    • If you’re already editing your ad set, click the  More icon to the left of your ad and select Edit.
  4. Depending on your ad format, you’ll see a section labeled Destination or Form details on the left side of the page.

  5. Select a Call-to-action from the dropdown menu.

  6. Click or start typing in the Lead gen form field to select a Lead Gen Form. 

    • You can also create a new form by clicking + Create new form.
  7. Click Save in the lower-right corner.

  8. If you need to attach a form to more ads, you can click the  More icon to the left of your ad and select Edit.

Once a Lead Gen Form has been attached and saved to a non-draft ad creative, you can't change the associated form.

After you’ve attached forms to your ads and launched your ad set, your ads and forms will be reviewed and, if approved, are displayed based on the settings of your ad set.
