LinkedIn delivers relevant ads (and measures their performance) to members when they are on third party applications and sites through its LinkedIn Audience Network.
LinkedIn uses data that you provide to us, data about your activity on LinkedIn, and data that we receive from our partners and affiliates (including Microsoft), for this purpose. Other than hashed or encrypted identifiers, LinkedIn does not share any of your personal data with third parties for this purpose. LinkedIn does not use data from others to enhance or build profiles (by, for example, inferring interests or traits) of our members or visitors, but we do use the data we may receive from others to enhance our overall understanding of what ads are most relevant to our members.
You can always opt out if you do not wish to be shown personalized ads outside of LinkedIn.
