You can send test leads through Lead Gen Forms to ensure the data is captured and available in the Download Lead report. It's useful to test Lead Gen Forms when integrating them with your marketing automation or CRM provider to verify the integration process has been successful.
To send a test lead:

Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

Click Assets on the left menu and select Lead generation forms.

Click the
More to the right of the Lead Gen form and click Send Test Lead. -
Fill in all the required fields (first name, last name, email address) and click Send.
Alternatively, you can send a test lead by accessing the preview of the ad creative that has the Lead Gen Form attached to it in Campaign Manager and submitting your information through the preview or by clicking the linked text in the Ad Name column from the Ads tab. Sending a test lead from the Ads tab will include additional metadata such as the ad_id and ad set_id when you download your leads.
Send a test lead from the Ads tab
To send a test lead from the Ads tab:

Click Advertise on the left menu of Campaign Manager.

Select the campaign group and campaign name where the ad creative is saved with the Lead Gen Form you want to access.

Hover over your selected ad under the Ad name column and click Manage.

Click the
More icon and select View to preview the ad in a pop-up modal. -
Click the call-to-action button in the preview to the test the Lead Gen Form.

Test the Lead Gen Form and click Submit.
Here's a tip
Keep in mind:
- If there are no real leads or test leads generated from a form, the Downloads leads option will be greyed out for that Lead Form and the leads number will be 0.
- If you don’t have any real leads but you’ve successfully generated test leads, the leads number for the form will be listed as 0 but the Download leads option will be clickable for that form.
- Sending a new test lead will overwrite your existing test lead.
