Accelerate is LinkedIn’s AI-powered ad set type, which can help you quickly create ad sets. Accelerate aims to help improve your return on ad spend by continuously finding the right combination of targeting, creative, bidding, and placement for your ad sets. 

How it works

When you create an Accelerate ad set, you’ll provide information about your product, service, or brand, which is then analyzed to generate your ad set. After your suggested ad set has been generated, you can review, adjust, and launch it. As you review and adjust your ad set, you can use the AI marketing assistant on the right side of the page to review recommendations, ask questions, or start a chat with a representative from our support team.

After you launch an Accelerate ad set, it enters an optimization phase which allows Accelerate to learn how to best optimize your ad set. On average, the optimization phase lasts between 10 and 14 days. Accelerate also dynamically adjusts your ad set’s targeting to reach professionals that are most likely to convert.

Permissions

You must have permissions on both your ad account and LinkedIn Page to create an Accelerate ad set.

  • You need campaign manager, account manager, or billing admin access on your ad account.

  • You need super admin, content admin, or Sponsored Content Poster manager access on your LinkedIn Page.

Language

You can provide product information and draft ads with AI in several languages:

  • English
  • Spanish

  • French

  • German
  • Portuguese

  • Italian

When you provide product information in a non-English language, you'll be asked to confirm your preferred language.

Ad set objectives

Select from the following ad set objectives:

  • Brand awareness
  • Website visits 

  • Engagement 

  • Video views
  • Lead generation

  • Website conversions

Ad formats

Select from the following ad formats:

  • Single image ads

  • Video ads

  • Document ads

Audience Select key targeting settings and add audience signals to help you reach the professionals that mean the most to your business. Accelerate combines your product name and description, any audience signals you’ve selected, and historical data from your account’s previous ad sets to help you reach member accounts that are most likely to convert for your business based on your ad set’s objective.
Placements Placements are automatically determined based on your ad set objective. If the LinkedIn Audience Network is enabled, you can exclude categories of mobile apps and sites and publisher lists to control your presence on the Audience Network.

Select from the following budget options:

  • Daily budget 

  • Lifetime budget

Bidding strategies

Select from the following bidding strategies: 

  • Maximum delivery (automated) 

  • Cost cap
