Event-specific conversions help you track actions, such as a button click, taken on your website after your ad has been displayed. When you choose event-specific conversions, you might need to install code that contains a conversion ID on your website to count the action.
Here's a tip
To access your conversion ID code:

Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

Click Measurement on the left menu, then click Conversion tracking.

From here:
- If you're creating a new conversion, click the Create conversion button and select Insight Tag conversion.
- If you need the conversion ID for an existing conversion, click the conversion name.

On the Settings page, click Next step.
- If you're creating a new conversion or editing an existing conversions, add or update the information, then click Next step.

On the Sources page, choose your conversion tracking method:
- If you manually set up your conversion, click Manual conversions set up.
- If you're using a tag manager, click Tag manager.

In the Define your conversion tracking method section, select Event-specific.

Click Copy code above the code snippet. If you’re using Google Tag Manager, click Copy code next to Conversion ID for Google Tag Manager.

If you created a new conversion or made updates, click Next step. If you just needed the conversion ID, you can click Cancel to exit.

On the Review page, review the details of your conversion. To see the selected ad sets, scroll to the Ad sets section and click below Selected ad sets. You can also click Edit to edit the selected ad sets.

If you created a new conversion or made updates, click Create or Update to save your changes.
