Edit a LinkedIn Event

As the organizer of a LinkedIn Event, you can change various details after you have created the event. However, to maintain the trust of your attendees and the LinkedIn Community, you can’t make any changes once the event starts.

Please note that some details can’t be changed at all. In case there is a significant error, you’ll need to delete the event and create a new event.

Details you can and cannot change

Cannot be changed
  • Add a registration form for Pages

  • The Event organizer

  • Event type (Online or In person),

  • Event format (LinkedIn Live or External event link)

Can be changed before the event starts
  • Cover image

  • Alternative text (Alt text) to the cover image

  • Event name 

  • Timezone

  • Start date and time

  • End date and time

  • Description

  • Speakers

To edit Event details:
  1. Access your Events homepage.
  2. Select the applicable event from the list.
  3. Click Manage dropdown.

  4. Click  Edit event.

  5. Make the required changes in the Edit event page.
  6. Click Save.

Important to know

Your attendees will receive notifications if you’ve changed the location or time.
