If you're in India, you can now use Unified Payment Interface (UPI), an available payment method, for your purchases on LinkedIn. Here are some frequently asked questions about UPI payments.
UPI is currently available only for customers with their profile country set to India and those purchasing Premium Career or Premium Business. We are gradually introducing UPI as a payment method for all our products, so please check back soon for availability.
UPI is only available for when you are purchasing a new subscription, purchasing additional licenses or changing the payment method for an active subscription.
To change the payment method for your existing subscription to UPI, please follow these steps:
- Log in to the Admin Center.
- Navigate to the Purchases tab.
- Select the active subscription you wish to update.
- Click Change Payment Method.
- Enter your UPI payment details.
- Click Continue, then Confirm Changes.
Due to RBI regulations, UPI has a daily recurring transaction limit of 25,000 INR for subscription products. If you receive this error message, it means you have reached the transaction limit and we cannot process your payment at this time. You can switch to another payment method or try to complete your transaction on a different date.
If you receive an error message that your transaction has timed out, return to the checkout page and re-enter your UPI credentials to try again. If the issue persists, you can try another payment method like RuPay, AMEX, Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal, or attempt your payment at another time.
If you received this error, the UPI ID you entered in checkout is invalid or not registered. To find your UPI ID follow the below steps for some of the most common apps and re-enter your ID on the checkout page:
PhonePe
- Open the PhonePe app.
- Select your profile picture on the top-left.
- Tap on UPI ID settings to find your UPI ID.

Your UPI payment can be declined for multiple reasons, including insufficient funds or you did not approve the transaction within 48hrs. You can re-enter your UPI credentials on checkout and try your transaction again or use an alternative payment method for your purchase.
Your UPI pin is the same across all apps, please retry the transaction using the pin that you use for the ATM or other UPI purchases. If the issue persists, contact your UPI provider for assistance.
