Premium Duo allows you to subscribe to LinkedIn Premium Career or Business and share the subscription with another person via email, whether they are within or outside your network. The secondary subscriber will have access to Premium features for the remainder of the billing cycle once added. Only the primary subscriber can manage additions and removals of the secondary subscriber. This role cannot be transferred to the secondary subscriber.

With Premium Duo, each account remains fully private and independent, even though both subscribers share the same subscription. The primary (paying) subscriber does not have access to any of the invited member’s personal information, activities, or account information beyond whether the Duo invitation has been accept.

Premium Duo is available for both monthly and annual billing cycles. The membership will continue as long as the primary subscriber renews their subscription. Only the primary subscriber has the ability to cancel a Premium Duo subscription. If the primary subscriber cancels, it will cancel Premium for both accounts.

Important:  

  • At this time, you can only subscribe to Premium Duo via the LinkedIn desktop website. This feature is not currently available on the LinkedIn mobile app. Existing subscribers will not be able to use the “Switch plans” option in their Admin Center to change their existing subscription to Premium Duo
  • To be eligible as a primary or secondary member on a Duo subscription, you cannot have an active Career, Business, or Sales Navigator Core subscription. You also cannot be the primary subscriber (or administrator) of a Sales Navigator Advanced or Recruiter Lite subscription (Note: As this feature is still being rolled out, you may not yet have access to subscribe to Premium Duo even if you do not have an active subscription).
  • If you currently have an active subscription to one of the above and receive an invitation to join Premium Duo, you can cancel your current Premium subscription and allow it to end before accepting the invitation.

To subscribe to Premium Duo as a primary subscriber:

  1. Navigate to the Premium subscription plans page to view the details of the available subscriptions.

  2. Select Premium Career or Premium Business.

  3. Select the Duo subscription type and click Confirm to navigate to the order summary.

    • Note: You can try the subscription for free based on your eligibility.
  4. Choose your preferred billing cycle and click Place Order.

  5. After signing up, you will be prompted in the next screen to invite another LinkedIn member to your Duo plan by entering their email address.

    Note: To verify whether your secondary subscriber is eligible for a Duo subscription, check to see if they have an active Career, Business, or Sales Navigator Core subscription, or are the primary subscriber (or administrator) of a Sales Navigator Advanced or Recruiter Lite subscription.

  6. Your secondary subscriber will have access to Premium once they receive the invitation email and follow the instructions.

To join Premium Duo as a secondary subscriber: 

  1. Click Accept invitation or Accept Premium Invitation from the Duo invite email.

    • If you're not receiving emails from LinkedIn to your email account, be sure to check your email's spam folder or junk folder. Email providers sometimes route emails from new sources to these folders. Additionally, you can also directly reach out to the Primary member to request an activation link that’s available in their Admin Center.
  2. Follow prompts to complete setting up your Premium Duo subscription.

Notes

For primary subscribers:

  • You will lose access to your free trial after subscribing to or being added onto a Premium Duo subscription.

  • As a primary subscriber, you will receive a single bill every billing cycle for the Premium Duo plan, even if you have not invited a secondary member or the secondary member hasn’t accepted the invitation to join the plan.

  • Primary subscribers will receive all InMail credits for the month immediately after subscribing to Premium Duo, with credits refreshing every 30 days at the start of their billing cycle.

For secondary subscribers:

  • If the invitation link isn’t working, try opening it in an incognito or private browser window. 

  • If the invite link is expired, request a new invite link from the primary subscriber.

  • Secondary subscribers will receive all InMail credits for the month immediately after accepting the invitation. Credits will refresh every 30 days from the start of the primary subscriber’s billing cycle (not from when the secondary subscriber accepted the invitation).
