If you’re organizing a LinkedIn Event, you can privately message the attendees to have one-on-one conversations even if you aren’t connected to them. However, you can’t send private messages to a group of attendees (two or more).
If you're an attendee, you can only privately message other attendees you are already connected to. If you are not connected to the other attendees, you can no longer send a message request via LinkedIn Events.
Both organizers and attendees can comment on the Organizer’s event post in the LinkedIn feed.
To privately message attendees as the Event organizer:

Select the applicable event from the list.

To view the attendees list, click on the names of attendees (number) above Share button.
- You’ll be redirected to a page listing all the attendees.
- You can use the tabs at the top of the page to filter the attendee list.

Click the Message next to an attendee’s name.
- You’ll be redirected to a messaging window.
To privately message attendees as the Event organizer:

Tap
My Network in the navigation bar. -
Tap Manage my network.

Tap Events.

Tap Show all next to Your events to see a list all your events.

Select the applicable event.

To view the attendees list, tap on the names of attendees (number) above Invite button.
- You’ll be redirected to a page listing all the attendees.
- You can use the tabs at the top of the page to filter the attendee list.

Tap the Send Message icon next to an attendee’s name.
- You’ll be redirected to a messaging page.
