As an organizer, you can use the LinkedIn Events feature to create or mange an Event for professionals who share common interests with you. For your convenience, you can control this feature from either the desktop or mobile LinkedIn experience.
All events on LinkedIn are public, making them discoverable to members who aren’t directly connected to you.

As all events on LinkedIn are public, your attendees can also invite their connections to your Event.
To increase the reach and visibility of your event outside of your network, you can launch Event Ads or Thought Leader Event Ads promoting your event to a target audience.
-
Choose a name that’s short and clear in order to help attendees understand what to expect.
-
Share and promote your Event from your individual profile or Page to reach your network and followers. If you’re hosting an Event as a Page, you can also try targeted promotion for the Event URL.
-
Customize your Event content to suit your attendees’ needs. You can do this by reviewing profiles of the attendees and understanding their professional backgrounds.
-
LinkedIn Live - If you’re eligible to use LinkedIn Live to stream to your event, you can choose LinkedIn Live from the Event Format dropdown. To make the most of events on LinkedIn, especially if you have access to LinkedIn Live, we recommend promoting and hosting the event on LinkedIn itself, as it prevents attendees from dropping off as they switch platforms. Using LinkedIn Live for your event helps you get viral reach and engagement as we notify attendees and a subset of your Page or Profile followers when you go Live. Learn more about how to get Live access.
-
External - If you’re not eligible to use LinkedIn Live to stream to your event, you can choose the ‘External’ option in the dropdown. We recommend using this option when you plan to stream or host your event off LinkedIn and only wish to promote your event on LinkedIn. In this case, we ask you to provide a link to your external broadcast location so that attendees can easily join your event off LinkedIn.
