You can control notifications when you join a group to avoid unwanted updates. Manage your email and in-app alerts anytime from your Groups homepage.
To prevent updates when you join a group:

Click Groups from the left pane of your LinkedIn homepage.

Select the applicable group from Your groups list.

Click the
More icon to the right of the group name and select Update your settings from the dropdown. -
Under Communication settings, you can click:
• Emails for all groups to update your email preferences.
• In-app notifications for all groups to adjust the notification setting within your LinkedIn account.
To prevent updates when you join a group:

Tap your profile picture.

Select the applicable group from the list.

Tap the
/ More icon to the right of the group name. -
Tap Update group settings.

Under Communication settings, you can tap:
- Emails for all groups to update your email preferences.
- Push notifications for all groups to update your phone’s push notification settings.
- In-app notifications for all groups to adjust the notification setting within your LinkedIn account.
