Prevent updates when you join a group

You can control notifications when you join a group to avoid unwanted updates. Manage your email and in-app alerts anytime from your Groups homepage.

To prevent updates when you join a group:

  1. Click Groups from the left pane of your LinkedIn homepage. 

  2. Select the applicable group from Your groups list. 

  3. Click the  More icon to the right of the group name and select Update your settings from the dropdown.

  4. Under Communication settings, you can click:

    Emails for all groups to update your email preferences.

    In-app notifications for all groups to adjust the notification setting within your LinkedIn account.
