Understanding how LinkedIn Groups are categorized helps group members and admins manage visibility and access effectively.
There are three types of groups on LinkedIn:

Private Groups (Listed and Unlisted) - These groups are only accessible to members. Posts are visible only within the group.
- Listed groups: Appears in LinkedIn search results and is visible on member profiles under Interests.
- Unlisted groups: Does not appear in search results and on member profiles. Access is available only via a direct link or invitation.

Public Groups - These groups appear in search results and are visible on member profiles. Posts can be viewed by anyone, including people not signed in to LinkedIn.
