According to our latest bipartisan poll of Hispanic voters, pocketbook issues continue to dominate Latino voters’ priorities, reflecting a heightened concern over the cost of living, jobs, housing and health care affordability. HUD’s English-only policy removes translations that families across the country used to navigate the complex homebuying process. Read Urban Institute’s new blog post to learn why this remains alarming and how lenders, housing counselors and community groups can work together to provide critical resources and close the language access gap. https://urbn.is/4ocZ0Xv

UnidosUS is proud to endorse the Appraisal Modernization Act included in the ROAD to Housing Act because it protects homebuyers by codifying a consumer’s right to appeal for a home valuation. It empowers consumers, appraisers and lenders with the data needed to ensure fair and consistent home valuations. We urge Congress to include ROAD to Housing and the HOME Reform Act of 2025 in the final NDAA package. Read more on our blog post. #Housing #ROAD #HOME https://lnkd.in/eXk7CkEH

The government may have reopened, but for millions of families, there’s still no relief. Congress’s failure to act leaves health care costs soaring and civil rights under threat. 22 million Americans, including 6 million Latinos, face rising health care premiums — all while Latinos across the country fear for their safety amid abusive and unconstitutional immigration enforcement. Congress must deliver real solutions that protect families and our rights. Our latest poll shows: - 1 in 3 Latino voters say rising health care costs are a top concern. - 81% say Congress isn't doing enough to rein in the presidency & is allowing the president to hold too much power. The message is clear: Stop hurting us. Start helping American families. https://lnkd.in/e-s2KJMc

Housing affordability continues to be one of the biggest challenges for Hispanic families. That’s why I’m encouraged to see UnidosUS (@WeAreUnidosUS) advocating for the ROAD to Housing Act and HOME Reform Act to be part of the final NDAA package. Bipartisan action like this can help make homeownership more achievable and promote greater economic prosperity nationwide.
