🌳 Local Spotlight 🌳 Our Gulf Coast team worked with DeLisle Elementary School, Tandem Global, and the Mississippi Native Plant Society to plant a microforest at the Pecan Grove landfill. Projects like these strengthen not only the ecosystem, but the community by showing younger generations the importance of building a more sustainable future. This hard-working team planted more than 750 native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and grasses across a 1,500-square-foot area. The new microhabitat will provide a biodiverse ecosystem for wildlife and improve soil health to support the Gulf Coast community.

Recycling the right way protects workers, reduces contamination, and keeps valuable materials in circulation. But misinformation about what belongs in the bin can create serious safety risks, especially when it comes to disposing of old batteries. ❌ Myth: Batteries can be recycled with regular materials. ✅ Fact: Batteries require special drop-off programs. When tossed in household recycling, they can spark fires that endanger homes, trucks, and recycling facilities. 🔥 To learn more about how to properly dispose of your old batteries, visit batterysafetynow.org #BatterySafety #SkipTheBin #RecyclingMonth #WoodsyOwl

Iconic stage for our iconic bins. 💚💛 DID YOU KNOW? These bins are designed to make it easy for fans to recycle right. To close the loop, they are also made from recycled paper and cardboard with the help of our friends at Pratt Industries. This is just one of the ways we're driving sustainability at the #WMPO.

Happy America Recycles Day! ♻️ We commissioned a survey to explore the state of recycling behaviors across the country in our 2025 WM Recycling Report to better understand gaps and barriers across the recycling system. We learned: ♻️ Consumer-reported recycling is on the rise. ♻️ Consumers are keenly interested in supporting companies that use recycled materials in their products. ♻️ Americans want to make a difference through recycling and care about the role companies play in driving sustainability. ♻️ Environmental well-being and shared responsibility are primary drivers for recycling. And so much more! Download the full report: https://bit.ly/4qZFAYK

When sustainability and sports work hand-in-hand, everyone wins. We’re excited to partner with the Tennessee Titans to help step up their sustainability game with a brand-new stadium that benefits their hometown, players and fans.
The Tennessee Titans and WM are planning a pathway to zero waste ♻️
