In celebration of Health Care Strategy and Market Development Week, we want to recognize two UAB Medicine departments comprised of 44 dedicated team members responsible for promoting the health system and forging paths that lead to new patients and ventures. Marketing & Communications manages much of the internal and external messaging, including websites and social media, advertising and branding, employee and consumer communications, physician marketing, and talent acquisition support. Strategy & Business Development identifies and pursues innovative business opportunities – from partnerships and satellite clinics to telehealth services – while addressing financial, operational, and strategic challenges. Today we’re celebrating National Rural Health Day by recognizing the incredible work being done through the Alabama Rural Health Collaborative (ARHC) in partnership with UAB Medicine. As Alabama’s first Rural Health Resource Center, ARHC proudly partners with 10 rural hospitals to expand access, improve care, and build sustainable health care systems across the state. From mobile simulation training and patient experience programs to strategy, planning, and compliance support, ARHC is helping hospitals strengthen both quality and performance. The ARHC and UAB Medicine are working together to build a stronger, healthier Alabama.
