  • Earlier this year, our Northern Virginia survey team had the privilege of attending a special opening event for the newly renovated National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. ✈️ The celebration recognized the many teams that contributed to the museum’s remarkable eight-year transformation from 2018 to today. Thirteen new and reimagined galleries are now open, with the remaining spaces scheduled to reopen in July 2026. Once complete, the museum will showcase 20 reimagined galleries, 1,400 new objects, and over 5,200 carefully preserved artifacts. Timmons Group was proud to partner with Clark Construction Group, Smoot, and Consigli Construction Co., Inc. to provide site control, layout, column control, and as-built survey services on this stellar project! #LandSurvey #Smithsonian #NASM #WashingtonDC #TimmonsGroup

  • Our Staunton Survey team got a great view of historic downtown Culpeper during their recent site visit! Our team was on site at the intersection of N Main & W Cameron Streets, collecting survey data to support Moseley and our Charlottesville civil design team on the Culpeper County Courthouse Master Plan, which is helping the County address space limitations, aging infrastructure, and long-term planning needs for the courthouse complex. We're proud to be a part of the team helping to lay the groundwork for Culpeper's future courthouse facilities! #LandSurvey #Surveying #Infrastructure #MasterPlanning

  • Yesterday, Timmons Group joined Liberation Veteran Services (LVS), teaming partners, and community members to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Veterans Village, a new supportive housing development for homeless veterans in the Greater Richmond area. Veterans Village features a two-story, 13K SF micro-apartment building comprising 50 units, each with a private bedroom and bathroom, along with a one-story, 4K SF community building with a kitchen, dining hall, gathering spaces, and laundry room. Since 2013, LVS has helped more than 800 veterans find stability, care, and a renewed sense of purpose. Today, it stands as the largest Low Demand program in the U.S. and the only one in Virginia. We’re honored to have partnered with LVS, Hourigan, Baskervill, STRUCTR, and Dunbar on this meaningful project that provides veterans with a place to rebuild their lives. #VeteransDay #VeteransServices #RVA #CommunityBuilding

On Veterans Day, we pause to honor the millions of Americans who have worn a U.S. uniform, including the many who continue serving their country long after returning home. For Mark Richardson, that calling to serve has taken different forms throughout his life—first in the U.S. Army, and now through land development projects that are shaping one of the nation’s most influential military regions. As principal in charge of our Hampton Roads offices, Mark’s military background has continually shaped the work ethic and “serve first” leadership styles that define him today. With nearly 50 veterans across Timmons Group, we’re proud to celebrate the individuals who continue to strengthen the communities they once protected. • After months of collaboration and design, our Landscape Architecture team in Washington, D.C., joined fellow volunteers at the 32nd Annual Community Improvement Day hosted by DCBIA! This annual event marked the culmination of a months-long design charrette, where our team and other participating firms reimagined areas of Anacostia Park. That effort came full circle last month when we worked alongside community members and industry partners to install the improvements. Our team focused on rebuilding a large wooden U.S. map art installation, transforming it into a more engaging, interactive feature for park visitors to enjoy. We’re proud to have played a small part in improving one of D.C.’s largest and most important green spaces and to support DCBIA’s mission of building stronger, more connected communities through service and collaboration. #BuildCommunity #LandscapeArchitecture #DCBIA #AnacostiaPark #CommunityImprovement
