We fight with Love. The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Our message is based on the Bible, our ministry is motivated by the love of God, and our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ as we meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Every program we offer is rooted in our passion to serve God by serving the lost, the vulnerable, the needy, the poor, the hurting, the helpless, and the hopeless.

  • We are still short 60 volunteer drivers for Thanksgiving morning!! The Salvation Army San Francisco will be delivering more than 4,000 meals to homebound seniors across San Francisco, and we cannot complete these routes without more support. The shift that needs the most help is 8:15 to 11:15 AM. Each volunteer delivers about 20 meals to seniors who would otherwise spend the holiday alone. Sign up here if you can help: 👉 https://lnkd.in/gFbPaAAh If you cannot join, please share this post. Your repost might be the reason more than 4,000 homebound seniors receive a warm meal and a moment of connection.

  • San Francisco, we need your help. We’re still 60 drivers short for our 8:15–11:15 AM shift. This Thanksgiving, The Salvation Army will deliver 4,000+ meals to homebound seniors across the city. Each volunteer delivers ~20 meals. Each route = 20 seniors who won’t spend the holiday alone. If you can give just two hours on Thanksgiving morning, please sign up: 👉 https://lnkd.in/gFbPaAAh If you can’t volunteer, please share this post. Someone in your network may be exactly who we need. Let’s show our seniors that San Francisco shows up. 🚗🧡

  • Yesterday, we had the joy of gathering for our 22nd Annual Holiday Luncheon at Storek in San Francisco, bringing together business, civic, and philanthropic leaders in support of The Way Out, The Salvation Army’s recovery-focused homeless initiative. We were honored to recognize Assemblymember Catherine Stefani for her strong advocacy on behalf of the recovery community and her partnership in helping us expand a Recovery System of Care for San Franciscans experiencing homelessness. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, partners, and guests, we’re strengthening our ability to help more neighbors recover, stabilize, and thrive in the year ahead. If you couldn’t join us but would like to support The Way Out, you can still make a gift and be part of this work.

  • “I walked 10 miles in the dark, in bloody boots, praying for someone to find me.” That night was Alicia’s breaking point. But it wasn’t where her story ended. She grew up in poverty, surrounded by addiction. For years, survival meant just getting through the day. But when she found The Way Out, everything changed. It wasn’t just a program. It was a foundation, a path toward stability, dignity, and possibility. Today, Alicia is rebuilding her family, working toward her GED, and building a life she once thought was out of reach. On November 19, San Francisco’s business, civic, and philanthropic leaders will gather at the 22nd Annual Holiday Luncheon to make more stories like hers possible. This is not about temporary relief. It’s about changing the trajectory of a life. Join us in supporting The Way Out and creating a city where recovery and renewal are within reach for everyone. 📅 Wednesday, November 19 | 11:30 AM | Storek, San Francisco Get your ticket at HolidayLuncheonSF.org

  • The holidays aren’t just about what we give, they’re about who we become when we choose to give. Every dollar you drop into a Virtual Red Kettle fuels real change: a hot meal, a safe night’s sleep, a second chance, for someone right here in your community. This season, don’t just pass by. Be the reason hope rings a little louder. 100% of your gift stays local. 👉 Give today: sanfranciscoredkettle.org
