Why do so many people lead with their title instead of their character? I notice it in two places: dating & LinkedIn When people see I spent time in the federal police, I almost always hear about an ex or brother who was “SAS sniper with 17 tours.” Never just a reservist or general duties, it's always a sniper from the special forces. l am amazed! I swear I have heard of 20 snipers with over 2 decades of combat experience getting around the eastern suburbs of Sydney alone. I know how rare true combat experienced snipers are. So either one guy (an unidentified Rambo/ James Bond hybrid) is under the radar dating everyone's ex, with 7 different mothers and 143 sisters or people are upselling their service to sound more impressive On the flip side, in dating & LinkedIn I see a flood of 20 to 30 yr old “CEOs” & “COOs.” We know what it takes to be a real CEO, years leading teams, P&Ls, growth. That’s very different to selling candles from a spare room or online "bro" courses with a self given title Pattern’s the same (in my experience) men lean into “I’m alpha, operator, CEO, baller.” Women lean into “I’m exec, boss.” (which if the truth: great congratulations) but both sometimes use identity as currency or their entire personality, often in the opening exchanges of conversation Interesting part is when you don’t bite. Not impressed by titles or recycled made up 4th hand war stories? Offense follows, because for some, it’s not just work (real/ imaginary), it’s their or someone else's entire ego, who they are wrapped up in an "identity" This isn’t corporate vs entrepreneurship. We absolutely need competent leaders running orgs that shape livelihoods as well as creative risk takers and entrepreneurs building cafés, products & businesses that we all know and enjoy. Both make the world go round. The real point is we often put too much weight on titles & tie our entire identity to them, instead of what matters, results, character, values & how we treat people The wealthiest millionaires/ billionaires I know couldn’t care less about titles & ironically in the professional/financial sense they’re the most successful Adrian Portelli, one of the greatest marketers we’ve seen. Never heard him lead with a title. If anyone could claim labels, it’s him. Yet he says "you’re no better than anyone else because of title or money" He’s just a guy doing his thing, very successfully. If he applied for a corporate CMO role, he’d likely be rejected for “not having the right degree” despite being able to run circles around whole media teams Just recently we've seen AP clear millions of dollars of debt for a well known gym saving over 800 people's jobs & livelihoods It shows us titles don’t define you. Impact, results & how many lives you positively influence, that’s the story. Earlier in my career I was guilty, proud of a title, proud to work for a great company. Over time I realised it matters far less. Character, results & health will always outweigh titles

From the beginning of time, this has been a war between good & evil. Go all the way back to the Garden of Eden, God said, “Do not touch the tree.” & what did Satan say? “Did God really say that?” From the very beginning, truth has been twisted, manipulated, distorted and humanity has hated truth ever since Now we just watched it happen again. Charlie Kirk a man who stood for truth, was gunned down. Shot dead in broad daylight for doing nothing more than speaking truth and debating respectfully Charlie wasn’t perfect. He never claimed to be. He knew he had faults like every one of us. But he stood for something. He stood for truth Watch his debates. Person after person would walk up, screaming, calling him a bigot, a racist & what would he say? Calmly, “What did I say that was racist? Tell me.” They could never debate him on facts When you can’t win on truth, when the light is brighter than the darkness, what does darkness do? It tries to snuff out the light Jesus Christ himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. Nobody comes to the Father except through me.” He was truth. I’m not saying Charlie Kirk was Jesus. Jesus is perfect, there’s no comparison. But the pattern is the same, the world has always hated truth & when ppl speak truth, when they stand for what is right, they are silenced, they are attacked and sometimes, they are killed Our society has been trained not to think critically. We’ve been programmed, through media, social media, propaganda, to just react. Triggered at the smallest thing. People outsource their thinking to chatgpt, to headlines. So when someone like Charlie stands up with facts, with logic, with truth, the left can’t handle it This is why we need to push back. We need to stop appeasing everyone, the left minority. We need to stop being scared of offending people. Not every opinion deserves a platform or to be heard Some people’s ideas are lies. Some people need to be told, “No. That is not the truth, stop.” Society needs structure. Children need structure. Nations need structure We need to so accepting instanity, stop debating with it. Mentally ill people who are a threat to society need to be institutionalized again. Punished when they cross the line. We need to stop giving a megaphone to mentally ill ppl that seek to destabilize families & nations for likes When you give them an inch, they take a mile. Let them preach their BS long enough, and they get emboldened and then they start killing people Be discerning. Seek truth for yourself. Don’t just follow what you’re fed & when you find truth, defend it. Speak it. Live it. Charlie Kirk stood for something & it cost him his life. The question is, what are you willing to stand for? What are you willing to accept moving forward for yourselves, your families, your nation & our way of life?

  • Was always a pleasure to work with this guy. A gentleman and exceptional talent both on and off the field. Would be a great ambassador or speaker for any brand or organization requiring someone with his skillset and lived experience Andrew McCullough

Former NRL Hooker • 309-Game Veteran • Skills Coach • Speaker Panel Host Brand Ambassador

It’s been almost two years since I hung up the boots after 14 seasons and 309 games in the NRL, and life after footy has been a rewarding new chapter. Since retiring, I’ve been fortunate to stay connected to the game I love: Coaching with the Broncos Academy and stepping into my new role as Forwards Coach for the Queensland Under-19s. Joining SEN Sports as a commentator, which has given me the chance to share insights and stay involved in rugby league from a new angle. Taking the stage as a speaker, MC, and panel host for corporate and sporting events, where I share lessons from resilience, leadership, and life in professional sport. Representing brands I believe in as an ambassador for Llewellyn Motors and Betfair Australia. I’m grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and the people I’ve worked alongside since leaving the field. Looking ahead, I’m open to further speaking, MC, commentary, and partnership opportunities. If you think I could add value to your event, brand, or team, I’d love to connect. DO not do this to your business or personal brand ⚠️🚷📵 Content, branding and marketing have turned into the latest NDIS style scam & gold rush. Everyone is suddenly a content expert or branding guru. Not because they have decades of experience building & scaling brands, working at the highest level but because there is money to be made, likes to chase & followers to impress. They just discovered CapCut, filmed a few clips on their phone, promised you 10 million views, yet their own posts struggle to hit 100 & rarely crack 1,000. A large portion of your money will be spent on phone farms and bot accounts to engage with you. Or they're gonna do 3 months of content in 1 day 🤔 (so the focus is not on quality or delivering, authentic up to date relevant content for you and your clients) its about grabbing your cash as quickly and effectively as possible. That's like being a fine dining restaurant batch cooking in bulk, freezing meals then serving clients defrosted meals but still charging Michelin-Star prices. Check their history on Linkedin. Look at what they have actually built. Not the made up stories they you about in their paid ads. the multiple made up businesses they've called themselves the "Founder & CEO" of. Are you paying for results from people who have performed and delivered at the highest level with brands you've actually heard of or just funding someone’s fancy office lease & coffee habit? Branding is not spray & pray. Content is character, narrative & connection driven, like directing a Martin Scorsese Hollywood classic (thats why Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones was binge watched by so many), not duck lips, booty shaking & influencer rubbish. This type of content branding & marketing is the business equivalent of a cheap, poorly shot adult film, a quick dopamine spike, but utter garbage. Don't do this to your business. Don't associate your hard earned brand, the blood, sweat & tears you have poured into becoming the best in your field, with cheap two bit adult filmmaker equivalents who will drag your brand into the gutter telling you "babe this it will trend & go viral", "it gonna pop off or slap" 🥴 yuck Better yet, learn the basics yourself & stop funding someone else’s experiment. 🎬 produced by Matthew Sharpe & Max H.

  • Proud to have produced and directed this commercial for Gregory’s Jewelers and Garmin in 2024, featuring my client Gurinder Sandhu, Australian cricketer and Queensland Bulls player. This campaign was featured across major media platforms and television and was an incredible opportunity to bring together a world-class team, showcase Gurinder’s personality, and create something memorable for the brand. I even made a brief cameo on screen, which was a lot of fun. It was a privilege to lead the creative direction and production from concept to delivery and we had a great time bringing it all to life. 🎬🏏 🎥 Shot by: @mikhail Cass
