Last week was historic for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. We officially opened the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center, a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility located across the street from Barclays Center. 🎉 To celebrate this milestone, we had a ribbon-cutting ceremony and hosted a Grand Opening Celebration where our community had the opportunity to experience our two full-size courts, shooting lab and Shoot 360 cutting-edge technology with coaching from Brooklyn Nets and NY LIBERTY players and Brooklyn Basketball clinicians. 🏀 The Brooklyn Basketball Training Center is operated by our flagship youth basketball program – Brooklyn Basketball. Through our partnership with the NYC Department of Education, the program already reaches over 40,000 youth annually! This new facility allows us to expand that reach, elevate the experience, and create a true home for young athletes of all skill levels. 🍂 Fall programming tipped off this week with after-school programs, weekend camps, all-girls clinics, advanced training, birthday parties, and more. Barclays Center sets record for Caribbean concerts in 2025, underscoring genre’s cultural impact! Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (BSE) announced Barclays Center has hosted a record number of seven Caribbean concerts in 2025, generating 20% of the arena’s gross revenue for the calendar year to date. This milestone follows the Brooklyn arena’s record-breaking momentum after recently setting a new benchmark by hosting 74 concerts in Fiscal Year 2025. From sold-out concerts to large-scale cultural celebrations, Barclays Center has established itself as a premier destination for Caribbean artists to showcase their talent on one of the world’s most prominent stages. Brooklyn is home to one of the largest Caribbean populations in the United States and the success of these shows at Barclays Center – which welcomed more than 80,000 attendees across all seven shows - underscores the growing demand for Caribbean music and culture, which has become an integral part of the borough’s identity.
