“There is a real moment in time happening right now where all things Western, Americana and cowboy culture are the zeitgeist. We have access to all of these people and all these events and all of the fans, and that’s not really visible when you’re just streaming live rodeos 24/7, so this felt like a necessary thing to do to really up-level and elevate the sport of rodeo and the lifestyle around it,” Teton Ridge CEO Deirdre Lester Read more about our new programming slate and how we’re elevating the future of western media below. Thanks Irving Mejia-Hilario and Sports Business Journal for the opportunity to tell our story. #WesternSports #MediaInnovation #Storytelling https://lnkd.in/ekNvACcB

When we acquired Cowboy Channel nearly a year ago, we became the largest rights holder in Western sports. But we had no plans to stop there. Over the past year, we’ve been in the arena, on the road, and out on the ranch, capturing the stories of the West. Today is a big day for us as we unveil our most ambitious slate of original programming yet across all Cowboy Channel platforms – marking a transformation from a live-event broadcaster into a full-fledged content studio. Fans have already flocked to “Hell on Wheels,” our first original docuseries featuring the world’s #1 bareback rider, Rocker Steiner, which has surpassed 6M video views since its debut earlier this month. And we’re excited to roll out so much more – from “Diamond Cross Ranch,” our first foray into lifestyle content, to “Get Rodeo with Me (GRWM),” where Western personality and former roper Sierra Spratt spotlights the latest Western beauty and fashion trends. We’re grateful for the incredible teams and countless hours behind the scenes that made this possible – and to the fans who continue to push us, and trust us, to deliver Western content built for today. A sneak peek of what’s to come below across Cowboy Channel, Cowboy Channel+ and YouTube. #WesternSports #MediaInnovation #Storytelling

“A friend of mine—who knows the creator economy probably better than anyone—pointed me to Teton Ridge and said: ‘If you understand how they did it, you understand the future of media’ …She was talking about Western culture being organized into Teton Ridge.” If you want to understand how we became the singular home for Western content, look no further than Benjamin Odell “Open Gardens” Substack. Ben offers a masterful play-by-play of how we took our business from an #OpenVerse - a thriving, but fragmented Western ecosystem with no clear owner - to a comprehensive definitive destination for Western sports, media, and entertainment. We’re proud to sit at the intersection of tradition and innovation, stewarding Western culture and bringing its powerful stories and live sports events to a growing global fanbase every day. “It’s really about taking the things that I think are special and important about cowboys and Western culture and the Western way of life – and translating that into the thing that people have the most passion for regardless of their background – which is sports.” Our SVP of Business Development & Partnerships and Arizona Ridge Riders GM Casey Lane sat down with JW Rayhons on the “more to Life than money” podcast for a candid conversation about his career – including the many pivots and learnings along the way – and what it takes to compete and lead in the world of Western sports and beyond. A 10/10 conversation filled with invaluable lessons on life and leadership. Thank you to JW for sharing Casey’s story, and to Casey for the wisdom. Sharing stories that celebrate the American West is what we do best. So we’re thrilled to announce that we’re partnering with Will Packer Media to bring Lauren Larson Texas Monthly feature about the legendary rodeo doctor, Dr. Tandy Freeman, to TV. The character-driven medical drama will take viewers inside “the intersecting worlds of the high-stakes rodeo circuit, elite sports, and modern medicine,” Jillian Share, president of Teton Ridge Entertainment, explained in an exclusive conversation with Deadline Hollywood “Seen through Tandy’s perspective, we will journey past the grit and bravado of the cowboy community to uncover the profound relationships doctors forge with the sport’s top athletes, through a blend of raw adrenaline and deep emotion.” A big thank you to Deadline and Rosy Cordero for sharing this news. Over 400 hours of filming and 10,000 miles on the road later…we’re finally ready to invite you into Rocker Steiner’s world. Premiering tonight, the Cowboy Channel original docu-series, “Hell on Wheels,” goes behind the scenes of 4x NFR qualifier Rocker Steiner’s wild ride toward his first world title. A larger-than-life cowboy, Rocker is coming off a history-making year at just 21 – setting the single-season earnings record in bareback riding with over $300,000 and notching marquee wins at RodeoHouston, The American Rodeo, and the Governor’s Cup. He’s still chasing one thing though: his first gold buckle – and tonight, you’ll get a first look at the heart, grit, and unwavering drive Rocker is putting in to get there. A huge thank-you to our incredible partners and TEAM who helped bring Rocker’s story to life on screen – from Boot Barn, who kept Western culture front and center throughout, to Happy Dad Hard Seltzer & Tea and Cowboy Colostrum, who fueled our crew every mile of the way. Episode 1 drops tonight at 7PM ET on Cowboy Channel+, with new episodes airing weekly through December 31. #CowboyChannel #WesternSports #HellOnWheels

New York Fashion Week wowed, but did you catch the Fashion Week of the West? No longer a place to just “pull out your old pair of boots and buy a hat at a concession stand,” Western style was front and center at The American Performance Horseman this year, with athletes and fans alike dressed to the nines in their most authentic (and creative) Western-inspired looks. As Fort Worth Magazine’s Brian Kendall put it: “Like Fashion Week, it’s become a place to set the trends.” Thanks to Fort Worth Mag and Brian for joining us this year – and for the great read. Full article linked in the comments below, chock-full of styling inspiration for your next Teton Ridge event (and with the National Finals Rodeo just around the corner… it’s never too early to start planning). #WesternSports #WesternFashion #Culture
