AI is transforming how every team works, including finance and accounting. But one core system has been neglected: the general ledger. That is what Rillet is rebuilding. Last week at the a16z speedrun Demo Day at the NYSE, we shared our vision with 150 CFOs. We rebuilt the general ledger from the ground up for a future where people and AI agents work together inside the ERP. What does that look like in practice? As Kate Reasons, MSA, CPA Controller at Revv put it, “Rillet is the preparer, so our senior two-person team can focus on being the reviewers.” Thank you to Ivan Makarov, Seema Amble, and the entire Andreessen Horowitz team for hosting us! In May 2025 Revv went live on Rillet (s/o Brittany Podczerwinski, MBA Alex Johnston, CPA Ethan Vaca, CPA). Yesterday, stephen hedlund dropped by the office to check out Marco Madia, CPA ‘s sick month close checklist and say hi! (I cannot recommend Rillet enough) But wait, there’s more! TODAY, we signed, sealed and delivered our first set of reviewed financials (s/o to the Anchin team Kiriaki G., Zhanna Korneva, CPA and Adam Pizzo )! This was a huge notch in our belts as we gear up for our 2025 review very 🔜 and continue prep for 2026 audit readiness! (I also cannot recommend Anchin enough) Revv was as expected, the talk of the town at SEMA SHOW 2025! This is Rillet engineering manager Michael Lapadula steps away from our Barcelona office. He is methodical, focused on impact, and building a world-class engineering team in NYC. Before joining Rillet, Michael spent 4 years at Stripe, leading engineering teams through some of the most intense moments in fintech at Stripe (including navigating the SVB crisis). He also spent time at South Park Commons exploring the frontier of AI. His mix of hands-on building, systems thinking, and hacker mindset is a big part of how Rillet is scaling so quickly.
