The Stahls' Power Play for Heroes delivered another strong year of support for our Veterans and raised meaningful funds for Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs Inc. Day 1 brought an open house at the Stahls Automotive Foundation to honor Veterans and active-duty service members. Day 2 shifted into game mode as Team STAHLS' hit the ice with the DETROIT RED WINGS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION INC. Both days included representatives and recipients from Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, keeping the mission front and center. The charity hockey game filled the St Clair Shores Civic Arena beyond capacity. Every seat, every row along the glass, packed with fans cheering for Veterans and the Detroit Red Wings Alumni. Notable players and guests included: • Dino Ciccarelli • Grind Time with Darren McCarty • Mickey Redmond • Red Berenson • Dave Coulier • Vladimir Konstantinov • Nolan Allaer • Brad Galli Seeing so many Stahls’ jerseys in the crowd said everything about the support behind this event. The feedback has been strong, and people continue to share how much they value what Stahls’ brings to the community. The Red Wings Alumni dominated the scoreboard this year. They remembered last year’s miracle on ice moment, so they came ready. We took our medicine and had a good laugh. As Rocky Balboa put it, “you know, sometimes charity really hurts.” The atmosphere at SCS Civic Arena makes this a favorite event for families, fans, the Alumni, and our entire community.
