We had an enriching experience at AFRICA FINANCIAL SUMMIT - AFIS 2025! This year's edition brought together over 1,200 influential leaders from major African banks, fintech companies, mobile money operators, and central bank bank governors. "Our main objective as participants in this event was to meet potential partners. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with fintechs and banks to foster potential collaborations related to our products", said Malick SECK, present at AFIS. Digicel users can now use the new service to get instant access to funds sent to their MyCash mobile wallets on their phones, thanks to Ria's extensive global network of over 638,000 locations that serve nearly 200 countries and territories. Recipients who prefer cash can also pick up their money from any Digicel Fiji retail outlet. “Our partnership with Digicel Pacific is a significant step in our mission to provide the most accessible and efficient money transfer services globally," shared STEVE PEREGRINO, Ria Asia Director of Business Development. "By enabling direct deposits into the MyCash mobile wallet and Digicel branches, we are not only streamlining the payment process but also empowering beneficiaries in Fiji with instant access to their funds, helping to bridge the gap between global remittance and local financial inclusion." Over the course of a month, Ria customers in El Salvador helped raise funds equivalent to 3,041 therapies for Fundación Teletón El Salvador, celebrated in a televised live event in October. The full amount collected over the donation campaign was delivered during the broadcast, which opened with an introductory video showcasing the testimony of four Ria employees, who talked about how they resonated with the event's tagline, "believe in the extraordinary". Teletón, which helps people with physical disabilities fully rehabilitate and incorporate into society, is an organization with whom Ria has been collaborating with for many years, as we share common values of inclusion, respect and the improvement of people's day to day lives.
