For the first time this Giving Season, we are excited to have you join us on a virtual-global journey that will bring you up close and personal with our work on the ground. We will take you across several countries for a holiday season content special, where we report directly from the field in real-time. You will experience Surgical Team Training Trips as they happen, share real-life moments at our local hubs, and witness the day-to-day experiences of our surgical pioneers, volunteers, and patients in countries such as Vietnam, Kenya, Bolivia, Uganda, and Nepal 🌎 As we kick off this journey, we invite you to watch this video message from ReSurge Executive Vice President of Programs and Partnerships, Natalie Meyers, MPH, highlighting what you can expect over the next few weeks. Join the journey by subscribing to ReSurge’s email list or by making a gift: https://lnkd.in/gtFdaDx6. And, follow along on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and our blog 🚀

Every thread of your support helps us close the gap to life-changing care in local communities 🧵 In this video, ReSurge Surgical Partner, Dr. David Wambi, takes us on a journey of ReSurge's surgical outreach camp in Arua, Uganda, discussing the work we're doing to build access to surgical care in Uganda's West Nile Region. As we enter this Giving Season, join us on a global journey to see how we are weaving access to reconstructive surgical care, one surgeon, one patient, one strand at a time 🌍 . . . In October, ReSurge's global focus on breast cancer awareness and mental health provided all of us with a powerful reminder of the deep interconnection between physical healing and emotional well-being 🤝 ReSurge’s work to pioneer equitable access to cancer-related breast reconstruction in low-resource settings was featured in Devex, a world-renowned international development platform, and ReSurge also participated in the New York Plastic Surgical Group’s Breast Cancer Summit. We also hosted ReSurge’s first-ever webinar featuring Elizabeth Métraux from the United Nations Foundation, and ReSurge President & CEO Claire Lachance represented ReSurge at the International Leadership Association’s Global Conference in Prague. It was a busy month. Read about these highlights and more in our recent newsletter!

ReSurge International sponsored Plastics and Burns Theater Nurse In-Charge of KIRUDDU NATIONAL REFERRAL HOSPITAL- Uganda, Kyazike Irene, to attend the 11th Pan African Burn Society (PABS) Congress, which was held from October 30th to 31st, 2025 in Nairobi Kenya. Burns are a serious condition that can abruptly disrupt a person’s life. If not addressed promptly, they can lead to devastating outcomes such as post-burn contractures and lifelong deformities. Irene attending this congress demonstrates ReSurge’s commitment to improving lives in Uganda through treatment, skills development, and skills transfer. #Dr. Rose Alenyo#Anna Santos

A ReSurge surgical training trip has been ongoing in Bolivia, encompassing hand surgery, anesthesia, and occupational therapy. ReSurge Medical Volunteers from the U.S. have been collaborating locally with ReSurge surgical partners in Bolivia. Surgeons in Sucre, Bolivia, are also hosting ReSurge surgical partners from La Paz, Bolivia, to train, collaborate, and learn from one another across regions. We are thrilled to have our Physicians for Peace partner, occupational therapist Rosario Reto from Peru, join the team to both learn from colleagues and present her expertise 🧡

I am thrilled to announce the release of the groundbreaking leadership book, "Space Is Not Empty: How Hidden Fields Are Shaping Your Life and Our World", for which I had the honor of authoring the foreword. Authors Alan Briskin and Mary Virginia Gelinas weave together their deep experience in social psychology, systems thinking, and contemplative practices to explain how fields influence us physically, emotionally, and intuitively—often without our conscious awareness. My foreword is based on a very real example of the power of field awareness in my role as President & CEO of ReSurge International while traveling between our reconstructive surgery sites in Nepal. I am passionate about the intersection of leadership, quantum science, and spirituality - and how that intersection can be practically applied to improve lives. I invite you to read this exceptional book for yourself - and to be in touch with any comments, questions, and your own examples! 🎯 Reaching 100,000 surgical healthcare workers. Advancing safe surgery starts with empowering those who deliver it. That’s why we’ve set a bold new goal: to reach 100,000 surgical healthcare workers by the end of 2026 through SURGhub. To help achieve it, The Global Surgery Foundation is launching the SURGhub Ambassador Programme — a global initiative to accelerate access to high-quality surgical training worldwide. Through this new network, Ambassadors will expand SURGhub’s reach, ensuring that knowledge, skills, and opportunities to learn are available where they are needed most. The SURGhub team extends its heartfelt gratitude to the small inaugural group of Ambassadors, whose dedication and enthusiasm were instrumental in shaping and launching this programme over the past two months. ✨ Join the programme now: https://lnkd.in/eeC9jfXj Andrea Parker | Rahel Nardos , MD, MCR | Advait Gandhe | Natalie Meyers, MPH | Jean O'Sullivan | Eric O'Flynn | Ines Perić | Howard Reid | Lakeisha Faulkner
