Following this year's Breakbulk Americas, we took time out to catch up with Drew Roberts to learn more about LS CARGO's ongoing expansion in the U.S. In a market where "there's no shortage" of project cargo, Drew and his team are investing heavily in their own in-house rail engineering capabilities, reducing reliance on third-party providers. To hear more, check out Drew's interview with Luke King via the link in comments.

At Breakbulk Americas, Andrew R. McNamara tells host Luke King that Energy Vault's products are "getting heavier,” with their latest units deployed in Australia tipping the scales at ~55 metric tons each. In this short clip Andrew also touches on: ⚡ Where Energy Vault is building and shipping from (teams in the US, Australia, and Europe; global suppliers & customers). ⚡New awards, including a ~300 MWh system for Consumers Energy in Michigan (Bay & Iosco Counties) and a ~1 GWh project in New South Wales, Australia with a local partner. Battery Energy Storage Systems drew a lot of interest at the show — the hardware is scaling, and the logistics are only getting more complex. 🎥 Check out Andrew's full interview via the link in the comments. ⚡️ “Too many people in our industry are still working inefficiently – stuck in outdated processes, wasting time and energy.” That’s what put Andrei Geikalo, Founder & CEO of MYCRANE, on the path to digitalizing the crane rental sector. In the latest episode of Project Cargo Professionals, recently recorded in Dubai, Andrei shares why he wants procurement teams to “order cranes online and sleep well.” We also discuss how he overcame industry resistance to digitalization, the launch of MYCRANE Trading, and the mindset required to innovate in a conservative industry. 🎥 Watch or listen to the full episode via the links in comments below and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.

🌍 “First and foremost, it’s the safety of our crew, our clients’ cargo, and our vessels.” In this week’s episode, Edward T., MD North America at Roll Group, tells us the biggest challenges shaping their operations today. From rerouting around the Cape of Good Hope due to conflict in the Gulf of Aden, to the constant pressure of sourcing competent crew as the fleet grows — Eddie explains how global uncertainty and industry realities coexist in project shipping. Eddie's full episode, part of our Voices of Breakbulk Americas series in partnership with Breakbulk Events & Media, is out now. 🎥 Watch or listen to the full episode via the links in comments below and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. If, like this week's guest, Marco Poisler, you have concerns around data security when adding AI tools to project cargo operations, talk to Ziad A., Kaan B. and the team at our sponsor, Logiswift. Instead of sending customer data out to AI models, Logiswift's AI tool simply converts your question into a secure SQL query that runs inside their own system, with built-in safeguards about what you are (and aren’t) allowed to see. ▶️ Marco's full episode, part of our Voices of Breakbulk Americas series in partnership with Breakbulk Events & Media, is out now. This week, we’re joined by Dennis Devlin, Managing Director at DT Project America, as part of our special Voices of Breakbulk Americas series. With decades of experience, Dennis has seen the highs and lows of global project logistics. In our conversation he doesn’t shy away from tough topics — especially when it comes to trade policy. As Dennis puts it: “Tariffs are ridiculous. It’s not a good idea. It is going to cost a lot of money, cost a lot of jobs, and it isn’t really going to solve what it is that we want to solve.” 📺 Watch or listen via the links in comments, and subscribe to catch every episode as we celebrate 35 years of Breakbulk Americas.
