    Co-Founder / CEO @ Arrived

Today, we’re announcing $27 million in new funding for Arrived. Led by Neo, alongside Forerunner Ventures, Bezos Expeditions, Core, and others. We’re seeing incredible growth, and our team is more excited than ever about our mission to bring real estate investing online. Residential real estate alone is a $50 trillion market that touches all of our lives. We believe real estate investing should feel just like investing in public companies, where anyone can buy and sell shares of properties in minutes, not months. With the launch of our trading marketplace, that future is closer than ever. In just the first 3 weeks of trading, investors placed 57,000 orders across hundreds of properties and spanning 60+ cities. Trades match instantly, and there’s no months-long process to complete your purchase. Thank you to our community of 880,000 investors who’ve funded 550+ properties across 65 cities, investing $340M and earning $55M in distributions so far. And thank you to the entire Arrived team and all of our supporters along the way. Job’s not done. More about Arrived here 👉 https://arrived.com/

  • Our MD Vivek Ladsariya sat down with David Weisburd to share his mental model for backing and supporting founders early, sometimes even before there’s an incorporated company. It’s a great listen on how conviction and true partnership make all the difference. We’re so fortunate to have Vivek bring that energy to our team and our founders! Check out the full episode below 👇

Most VCs think they “add value.” Almost none actually do. Here’s what the great ones really do differently 👇 Most founders don’t need introductions. They don’t need pitch-deck feedback. And they definitely don’t need another investor pretending to know their business better than they do. What they need — is a thought partner. A great VC doesn’t tell founders what to do. - They ask questions that make them think differently. - They absorb stress when things go wrong instead of amplifying it. - They build trust slowly — by showing founders they can be calm when everyone else is panicking. Founders can find money anywhere. But they rarely find people who help them see around corners. That’s what separates a check-writer from a true partner. These are exactly the principles Vivek Ladsariya talked about in our latest episode — how great investors become true partners to founders. #VentureCapital #Founders #Investing #Leadership #Startups Link to Podcast in Comments Below 👇

  • 📢 Excited to announce our newest launch: Lev, your AI co-founder 🎉 Every founder starts with ideas. The challenge is knowing which ones can become companies. For the past decade, we’ve built and refined the criteria, structure, and process that turn those ideas into startups. And now we’ve built that thinking into Lev AI, turning our playbook and rubrics into an AI co-founder for every founder. Lev is a partner throughout the 0 to 1 journey, accelerating the path from idea to company. Check out the GeekWire article on Lev’s launch: https://lnkd.in/ezKZbjSf Huge thanks to Taylor Soper for the thoughtful coverage. Interested in trying Lev? • What a night, indeed! Thrilled to host with you Andrew Kahn and Yamaha Music Innovations at TECH WEEK by a16z. Grateful to all the creator economy panelists for bringing their time, energy, and AI insights to such a thoughtful discussion.

Wow, what a night! Yesterday evening Conor Healy, "Scott" Yusuke SUGINO and I hosted our TECH WEEK by a16z event with David Zager from Pioneer Square Labs focused on the creator economy. 𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚. We had a packed house of 200+ people composed of many friends, founders, investors, and corporates. Our panels featured exceptional speakers who shed light on key dynamics at play right now. My talented colleague Conor Healy led the first panel with Benjamin Grubbs, Matthew Lowe, Alexandra K. Moore, and Zach Katz. They discussed the various paths by which institutional capital is flowing into the creator ecosystem, the fundamental 'human' considerations in these investments, and the undeniable sea change underway from traditional media to creator-led franchises. We also, of course, discussed the impact of AI on creator businesses. Some of the memorable quotes (paraphrasing): 𝘈𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘶𝘮 --> "Netflix is most afraid of YouTube." 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘴 --> "Mr Beast just filed a patent for a bank." 𝘍𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴 --> "Creators cannot have a Plan B." We followed the investor panel with one that I hosted with four inspiring founders building software for creators. They were Austin Chen, Joel Clay, Jeff Ponchick, and Lauren Schneider. We discussed the challenges of selling software to creators (and their teams), the importance of authentic founder-market fit to these buyers, the big inflection points and unlocks in their GTM and product development, and how they balance building for the broad spectrum of creator types from nano to macro. Some of my favorite quotes (paraphrasing again): 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 --> "I built it because I was disappointed by the incumbent software as a Twitch streamer." 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘺 '𝘯𝘰' --> "We just sit right on top of their inboxes." 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 --> "They have been burned by unfinished products too many times." 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 --> "Solve one big problem at a time without overwhelming them." Honestly, that's just the scratching the surface. Thank you to our partners Johnny Mathias and Ryan Temming from Wells Fargo, as well as Richard Bull, Trent Dykes, and Kenji Funahashi from DLA Piper. Can't wait for the next one!

  • We just had AI generate 10,000 vetted startup ideas. 💡 We wanted to see how far we could push AI to enhance our own ideation process - achieving both high quality and high volume while avoiding generic "AI for X" clones. We started by generating a massive number of ideas (160K), then ruthlessly filtered using our criteria around market pain, economics, and team fit. The result: 10K distinct, high-quality opportunities that actually passed our bar, not AI slop. ✨ We're opening up access to the best ideas through a matching platform. Answer a few questions about your background and get 3 tailored startup ideas: https://lnkd.in/g_qjse7X Want to take an idea further? • Read AI's new agents are reshaping how teams work  💼 📢 When we first partnered with Read AI, we saw their potential to become the ultimate AI workplace assistant. We're incredibly excited about today's launch of their Agentic Workflow Suite as that vision is becoming a reality.  The suite includes AI agents that work seamlessly in the background to transform how teams operate - like a Monday Briefing agent to begin the workweek with an AI-generated summary that gives you clarity on priorities and next steps. What's particularly compelling is what Read AI's own research reveals about the future of work: when teams embrace AI tools, the entire rhythm of work shifts. Meetings naturally move to Tuesdays, and Mondays become more strategic and focused. Getting rid of the Monday feeling is just the beginning of how AI will transform workplace patterns, and Read AI is at the forefront of this change! Check out the article below for the full detail We're also thrilled to welcome Justin Farris (ex-GitLab) as VP Product. Under his leadership, we're excited to see how the Read AI team will continue building toward their vision of the ultimate workplace assistant. Congratulations to the entire Read AI team! https://lnkd.in/gBSJ3NKU #AI #FutureOfWork #ReadAI

  • Excited to see Dropzone AI announce their $37M Series B! 🎉 When we first invested, we saw a team tackling one of cybersecurity's most painful problems: alert fatigue that's burning out SOC analysts everywhere. What set Dropzone apart was their vision for human-level reasoning that could actually investigate threats, not just flag them. Watching Edward Wu & the Dropzone team deliver 90%+ autonomous tier 1 alert triage for 100+ enterprise customers like UiPath and Zapier validates exactly why we backed this team. Dropzone isn't trying to replace security analysts. They're building AI that augments human expertise, letting analysts focus on what matters most. The SOC burnout crisis is real, making solutions that truly understand context and reason through complex security scenarios all the more critical. That's precisely why we are so excited about what the Dropzone team is building, and we look forward to their growing impact across the industry. Congrats Edward Wu and the entire Dropzone AI team! 🚀 #cybersecurity #DropzoneAI #AIAgents #seriesb #venturecapital
