  • We're proud to celebrate Marie Bauer Early Education Center for receiving the 2025 California Early Childhood Special Education (CalECSE) “Spotlight on Excellence” Award. Only one program in the entire state is chosen each year, making this a very special recognition. Marie Bauer serves more than 400 preschool students in classrooms where children of all abilities learn side by side. Teachers use creative strategies to support students during everyday classroom activities, helping many children meet their goals and no longer need special education services by the time they enter kindergarten. The center also works closely with local preschools so that more families can access inclusive, high-quality early learning. With new spaces like an inclusive playground and a sensory resource room, Marie Bauer continues to live its vision: that every child deserves to feel they belong—in school, in the community, and in society. Congratulations to our Marie Bauer staff and families for this well-deserved recognition!
