As the holiday season rolls in, we at Pacific Floorcare have been taking time to reflect on where greatness begins in an organization. A disorganized workspace isn't just an eyesore—it's a direct reflection of a company's commitment to excellence. How can you pursue greatness when you can't even find the right tool for the job? This is precisely why the 5S methodology is so powerful. It doesn't start with shining or standardizing; it starts with the absolute basics. The first two pillars of 5S are Sort and Set in Order. 𝘓𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵. Before you can sustain a new standard, before you can make things shine, you must first 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 and create a logical home for everything that remains. 𝚂𝚘𝚛𝚝: This is the critical first step of decluttering. It's about ruthlessly evaluating every single item in a workspace. Does it add value? Is it necessary for the current operations? If not, it has to go. Holding onto "just-in-case" items creates physical and mental clutter that slows down processes and hides potential problems. A clean sweep is not just about tidiness; it's about focus. 𝚂𝚎𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝙾𝚛𝚍𝚎𝚛: Once you've sorted, you must organize. This isn't just about putting things away; it’s about strategic placement. The goal is to make workflow seamless. Every tool, every piece of equipment, every supply should have a designated spot that is logical and intuitive. This minimizes wasted motion, cuts down search times, and makes it immediately obvious when something is missing. It's about designing a system for maximum efficiency. These two principles are the bedrock upon which all operational excellence is built. You simply cannot achieve peak performance in an environment of chaos. Organization isn't a "nice-to-have" that you get to when you have time. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. It signals to your team and your customers that you are serious about quality in everything you do. What are your thoughts on the importance of an organized workspace? 🌟 Employee Spotlight: Jeremy 🌟 At Pacific Floorcare, our people make all the difference. This week, we’re highlighting a team member who keeps our finances in tip-top shape. Q: How long have you worked for Pacific Floorcare? A: “I have worked at Pacific Floorcare for almost 5 years. Prior to Pacific Floorcare, I worked at the corporate headquarters, Hines Corporation, for 16 years, so almost 21 years all together.” Q: What is your role at Pacific, and what does a typical day look like for you? A: “I often begin my day reviewing my priorities, going over my agenda, and setting goals for my day. Beyond that, no two days are alike! In general, my responsibilities can be summarized in 5 key tasks: 1) Safeguarding Assets, 2) Strengthening Financial Outcomes, 3) Providing Guidance, 4) Working with the Executive Team to Determine Strategic Direction, and 5) Translating Financial Data to Inform Key Decisions. Having a balance of strategic tasks, hands-on challenges, and connecting with my team can best describes my typical day.” Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Pacific? A: “What I enjoy most about my job is the way it combines both a strong sense of 'family' and the opportunity to face exciting new challenges. I’m fortunate to work with a team that truly supports one another, like a family, and is there for each other through both the best of times and the most difficult of times. It's that balance between sense of belonging and personal growth that makes my job so fulfilling.” Q: What’s something your coworkers might be surprised to learn about you? A: “I think most of my co-workers know this, but I have been a part time firefighter for the City of Norton Shores for almost 25 years.” Q: What inspires you most, inside or outside of work? A: “My family inspires me the most. They have always been a source of strength and motivation for me. Watching their kindness, love, leadership skills, resilience, humility, and drive teaches me of the importance of empathy, treating others with compassion, and staying grounded in what truly matters. They inspire me to work hard, but stay connected to my values, stay connected to my family, and continually strive to have a servant leadership mindset in my interaction with others.” Q: What’s your favorite lunch spot near the office? A: “My favorite lunch spot would probably be my own house. If possible, my wife and I attempt to align lunch breaks so we can see each other for a few minutes during the day. With a full slate of kids’ sports and after-school activities, we stay on the move, so we take that moment to reconnect and coordinate the rest of our day." Thank you, Jeremy, for 21 years of dedication and for helping make Pacific Floorcare an incredible place to work! #EmployeeSpotlight #TeamPacific #PacificFloorcare #PurposeBuilt

The snow and salt season is officially upon us. Is your floorcare fleet ready for the challenge? Winter brings more than just cold weather; it brings slush, ice melt, and rock salt, which can wreak havoc on your floors. Salt residue not only looks unsightly but can permanently damage floor finishes, leading to costly repairs and replacements. More importantly, wet and slippery floors are a major safety hazard for everyone in your facility. Preparing your floorcare program is not just about cleaning—it's about protecting your investment and ensuring a safe environment. But how can you be sure you have the best equipment for the job? Here’s what you need to conquer winter floorcare challenges: • You need a machine that does more than just skim the surface. Look for an autoscrubber with superior down pressure to effectively agitate and lift stubborn salt and ice melt residue. Our orbital scrubbers are engineered for this exact purpose, providing the most aggressive and efficient clean. • Leaving floors wet is not an option, especially in winter. A top-tier squeegee system is critical for leaving floors dry, safe, and ready for foot traffic immediately after cleaning. Don't settle for equipment that leaves puddles behind. • Winter is tough on equipment. You need machines built to withstand the harshest conditions, day in and day out. Purpose-built, high-quality machines mean less downtime and more time keeping your floors pristine and safe. Don't let winter get the best of your floors. Upgrading to a high-performance floorcare fleet from Pacific Floorcare® is the most effective way to protect your facility, enhance safety, and maintain a brilliant appearance all year long. Ready to see how our innovative solutions can make this your easiest winter yet? Cleaning tight spaces has always been a challenge in commercial facilities. Restrooms, kitchens, and confined areas often require awkward positioning with mops and buckets, leaving corners and hard-to-reach spots inadequately cleaned. That's why we developed the Pacific 𝗤𝗦-𝟭𝟮 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗯 – the industry's only daily clean machine specifically engineered for tight space environments. What sets the Quick Scrub apart: • 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: The compact 12-inch cleaning path and low-profile scrub head (just 3.6 inches) reaches under fixtures, behind toilets, and into corners that traditional equipment can't access • 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Icon-based controls make it easy for any team member to operate – no extensive training required • 𝗔𝗹𝗹-𝗶𝗻-𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Scrubs and recovers in one pass, eliminating the need for "wet floor" signs and keeping areas open during cleaning • 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲: Up to 3.5 hours of continuous operation with optional batteries means fewer interruptions The result? Cleaner, safer spaces with significantly reduced labor costs. 𝗡𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗽𝘀, 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘚𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘣 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶?
