Every corner counts! This season, Clemson Athletics' men’s and women’s soccer teams have collectively attempted 114 corner kicks. Novant Health pledged $100 for each one, benefiting Make-A-Wish® South Carolina and helping grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in our local community. Ryan D. Lee, president of Novant Health Greenville, had the honor of presenting the donation — a reminder that each kick makes a meaningful impact on and off the field.

Our Novant Health team members recently came together to support the Forsyth Backpack Program — a partnership that’s been feeding local kids for seven years. 💜 This year’s impact:  ⭐ 4,800 weekend and holiday food bags packed  ⭐ 130+ team members volunteering  ⭐ 600+ cases of food donated We’re honored to support families in our community who rely on weekend food support to ensure their children don’t go hungry when school meals aren’t available.

Dr. Michael Hoben testified on Capitol Hill today about Novant Health's policy approach to care coordination that is creating healthier futures for our patients.    Care coordination means developing and implementing a care plan for a patient, with the patient, providers, social workers and family members all aligned and working together.    When done right, preventative care and chronic condition management are cornerstones of coordinated care that help providers anticipate patient needs and avoid emergencies. All this is done while saving the patient and taxpayers money.    Dr. Hoben spoke to the U.S. House Committee on Ways & Means’ Health Subcommittee about how Novant Health is successfully implementing this model and the regulatory hurdles that can be addressed through policy to improve how it works and help scale it nationwide.    Watch part of Dr. Hoben's comments to the subcommittee in this video.

Michael Jordan has just announced he will honor his mother with a $10 million gift to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. In recognition, the medical center’s neuroscience institute will be named the Novant Health Deloris Jordan Neuroscience Institute. “My mother taught me the importance of compassion and community, and I can’t think of a better way to honor her than by helping to ensure those in need can obtain the most advanced neurological care available," said Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan's roots run deep in Wilmington; Novant Health and Michael Jordan have previously partnered together to open two family medical clinics that bring comprehensive primary care to the area’s most vulnerable communities, in addition to two clinics In Charlotte. Research meets real-world impact. Novant Health, UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine have received another $1 million in research grants through their ongoing partnership to improve health outcomes in North Carolina. This latest round of funding will drive two new clinical studies focused on:  1️⃣ Early identification of chronic liver disease to prevent progression to cirrhosis and liver failure.   2️⃣ Evidence-based treatment for shoulder and musculoskeletal injuries, addressing rotator cuff injuries and fractures, particularly in older adults.     Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ee7Zzx2v
