Tackling energy waste in rental housing is a big step toward housing affordability and climate action. Check out the Energy Equity for Renters initiative from The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) offering no cost technical assistance to local government and community-based organizations. NEEP recently partnered with ACEEE on an Equitable Rental Property Electrification Learning Group. The findings offer valuable takeaways for creating equitable energy resources for rental housing properties. Read our blog post to learn more. https://lnkd.in/gE_zpH9H
Our Energy Equity for Renters initiative is offering another round of no-cost technical assistance for at least five local governments and community-based organizations to help tackle the challenge of reducing energy waste in rental housing. This opportunity is available for communities seeking to improve the energy efficiency of rental housing while also preserving or expanding housing affordability. Technical assistance work must involve community-based organizations (CBOs) working alongside local governments to ensure that any initiatives supported through this work are community-driven. Learn more below and join us for an informational webinar on Nov. 18.
