Every year, we keep one of our favorite NewGen traditions going — dressing up, carving pumpkins right in the office, and turning a regular workday into something unforgettable. This year, our back-office team showed up big. The costumes were creative, the pumpkins were next-level, and the competition between locations was real (in the best way). We did crown a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place — but honestly, with that much effort and teamwork, it felt like a win for everyone. These are the moments that make NewGen feel less like just a workplace and more like a community. We just wrapped up our 3rd Quarter Leadership Orientation and Compliance Boot Camp for 2025. It’s always inspiring to see our leaders come together to strengthen their knowledge, build connections, and commit to excellence in compliance. At the 2025 NewGen Symposium, we focused not only on leadership strategies but on the mindset that sustains them. Guest speaker • Darcy Luoma • gave us a powerful gift, the Thoughtfully Fit framework. Her message was clear: just like physical fitness takes practice, so does being mentally and emotionally fit. And like training a muscle, the more we exercise self-awareness and intention, the stronger we show up for our teams. Through her Pause. Think. Act. model, Darcy helped us recognize that we all respond differently—some of us act first, others pause, and some overthink. But there’s power in following that order. When we slow down, check in, and respond with purpose, we create better outcomes and stronger relationships.
