We're proud to see Kristen Ellis representing NASCO on last week’s #FutureCon Atlanta panel!   Kristen joined an incredible lineup of cybersecurity leaders to share perspectives on navigating rapid change and building trust in security programs. Her voice on this stage reflected the expertise and human-first commitment that drive NASCO forward every day.   #CyberSecurityLeadership #TeamNASCO

Thank you, Atlanta, for an engaged and energetic day at today’s #FutureCon Conference. We always look forward to connecting with this strong and collaborative #CyberSecurity community, and today was no exception. A big thank you to all attendees, speakers, and sponsors who helped make the event a success — the room was filled with thoughtful discussions, fresh insights, and professionals eager to advance the industry 👏💪 During lunch we enjoyed the keynote session led by James J Azar (Artera Services CyberHub Podcast), who presented “Elevating Your Security Program Through Business Enablement.” James walked through how security leaders can strengthen resilience while keeping pace with business demands, introduced the “Prioritize, Protect, Perform” model, and reminded us that people — not tools — remain the competitive advantage. The afternoon closed with our industry panel, again led by James, alongside Kenneth Foster (Candescent), Kristen Ellis (NASCO), Luis Valenzuela, CISSP, PMP (InComm Payments), Hussein Mereby (SAIC), and Naresh Y. (U.S. Bank). The discussion explored the realities of rapid change in cybersecurity, from managing tech debt and rethinking internal processes to the importance of testing what you implement and building trust in the security team through straightforward, human conversations. The session wrapped with bold predictions for 2026 — plenty of food for thought for everyone in the room. We’re heading into a busy final stretch of the year with four more conferences before the holidays. Next stop 🌵 Phoenix on Thursday, November 13th. We hope to see you there! #FutureConATL #FutureConAtlanta #CyberSecurityEvents #CyberSecurityNews #Cyber #GenAI #CyberNews #AtlantaCyber #CyberAttack #BusinessEnablement #Ransomware #IT #InfoSec #InformationTechnology #InformationSecurity #CyberConference #CyberEvent #AI

At HLTH, Lori Logan NASCO’s President and CEO, participated in the show’s kickoff session: Affordability isn’t an option. It’s the key to survival. She was joined by fellow panelist, Lori Aronson, MBA, VP, Care Delivery Solutions for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and moderator, Darren Wethers, MD, CPE. Their insightful conversation about how health plans can lower administrative costs, achieve better medical cost management, and drive affordability yielded a number of key points, including the idea that health plans often treat product innovation and cost containment as separate strategies, but they are reciprocal forces. For more insights into the healthcare affordability crisis, read Lori Logan’s new blog: https://hubs.li/Q03SVcRN0 #HealthcareAffordabilityCrisis #HLTH2025

Value-Based Care Isn't a Buzzword—It's a Platform Play At #HLTHUSA this morning, I caught the "Value-Based Care: Affordability Isn't an Option—It's the Key to Survival" panel with three industry heavyweights: 🔹 Darren Wethers, MD, CPE – Strategic Advisor, Managed Care Resource Alliance (MCRA) 🔹 Lori Aronson, MBA – VP, Care Delivery Solutions, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan 🔹 Lori Logan – President & CEO, NASCO Quote I found interesting: The evolution of benefit design is fundamentally shifting from product-centric to “program and platform-centric” delivery. This isn't theoretical—it's operational reality. NASCO just launched NASCO Evolve, the first purpose-built, claims-agnostic solution for alternative payment model (APM) management. Blue Cross Blue Shield companies now have over 81 million members accessing care through value-based programs across all 50 states, with 654,000+ providers participating. This isn't pilot-stage anymore. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's value-based settlements through platform tools like NASCO Evolve demonstrate the scalability that platforms enable. McKinsey data shows payers are pursuing three convergent models: provider enablement via MSOs, platform-based ecosystem conveners, and direct care delivery ownership. The ecosystem convener model—where payers orchestrate integrated care journeys across point solutions—is where infrastructure investment is flowing. Why This Matters: The shift from fee-for-service to value-based care requires coordinated, multi-stakeholder platforms—not isolated benefit products. Analysts note 84% of providers agree value-based care enablers will be standard infrastructure, and 60% expect higher VBC revenue in 2025. The reality panels like this expose: Affordability at scale requires platforms that adjudicate non-claim-based payments, manage multi-level attribution, and provide actionable cost-of-care insights. Health plans can no longer manage APMs through legacy claims systems. The infrastructure gap is a strategic liability. 41% of medical expenditure among leading health plans now involves alternative payment arrangements. That percentage will only accelerate as Medicare Advantage plans face utilization pressures and need scalable VBC infrastructure. The Operational Reality? Platform-centric benefit design isn't about vendor consolidation or admin convenience. It's about creating the data architecture and settlement logic that makes value-based contracts financially viable and operationally sustainable. If your health plan or provider organization is still managing APMs through spreadsheets and manual reconciliation, you're not competing in the affordability game—you're observing it. Props to the panel for cutting through ecosystem fluff and showing what platform infrastructure actually enables. #ValueBasedCare #HealthcareInnovation #ManagedCare #HealthTech #HLTH2025 #HealthcareAffordability #AlternativePaymentModels

Our team had the most incredible experience at HLTH USA 2025 in Las Vegas last week! The honest, pointed discussion drew a crowd and sparked meaningful conversations—thank you to everyone who joined and engaged! Our booth was buzzing with activity, and Lori Logan was a guest on The Beat Audio Podcast, where she shared NASCO’s vision and addressed pressing topics like the affordability crisis in healthcare. Day 1 of HLTH USA may have been just over a week ago, but the energy still feels electric! The event kicked off with a powerhouse panel featuring our very own President and CEO, Lori Logan, along with Lori Aronson, MBA and Darren Wethers, MD, CPE, diving deep into the real challenges of affordability in healthcare—not just the high-level talk, but the hard truths payers, providers, and patients face every day. Perhaps the most powerful takeaway? We can’t do this alone. The need for collaboration across payers, providers, and partners has never been more urgent. If we want to deliver on the promise of affordability, we must come together—strategically and intentionally—to make it work for everyone. #HLTH2025 #ValueBasedCare #Affordability #HLTHRecap
