Mythical’s executive team were well-represented at VidCon 2025 last week! Here's a rundown of what our team’s shared: Brian Flanagan (President) & Stevie Wynne Levine (Chief Creative Officer) provided insights on how to transform legacy channels into lasting media companies. While Jacob Moncrief (Chief Operating Officer) spoke on creator-owned direct distribution, highlighting how creators are building sustainable businesses through live events, subscriptions, and community. Jawhara Tariq (SVP, Corporate Development & Investments) dug deeper into how creators are building multi-platform networks (FAST, AVOD, SVOD) beyond YouTube and redefining what "TV" means — sharing learnings from operating and scaling our Mythical 24/7 FAST channel. Gwen Miller (Senior Director of Creator Growth) gave three presentations, including a discussion on connected TV as the future of YouTube, a deep dive into how to use data to find your best practices, and a mentorship session with 20 creatives from across the digital and traditional spheres. Bethany Brown (Senior Director, Subscription Content & Strategy) discussed the evolution of creator communities and how direct engagement (memberships, subscriptions) builds successful business models. And last but not least, Rhett & Link were inducted into the inaugural VidCon Hall of Fame! Many thanks to VidCon, YouTube, our industry peers, and creators for the opportunity to collaborate throughout the weekend.
