Last week at Annual Meeting, LAGERS announced Andrè Williams, police sergeant with the city of Macon, as the 2025 winner of the Local Government Hero Award. Andrè was selected for this year’s award for his outstanding leadership and service to the city of Macon for the past 13 years both in his professional role as a police officer and through his off-duty work in forming Macon’s first youth soccer team, the Macon Gunners. Last week, LAGERS announced the results of its 2025 Board of Trustee elections during the Annual Meeting. Chad Munsey, employer trustee from the city of Springfield, was re-elected to continue serving on the board. Erich Weimer, assistant chief of police for the city of Webster Groves, was elected to his first term as a member trustee. Both will serve terms ending Dec. 31, 2029.
