The Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) is a public pension system created in 1967. Our mission is to support a secure retirement for our members by partnering with Missouri’s local governments to provide a sustainable defined benefit plan. We serve over 70,000 current and former local government workers including firefighters, police officers, utility workers, administrators, EMTs, public works personnel, public healthcare professionals, librarians, and more.
