I just wrapped up an incredible few days at FATE Conference – the Finance & Accounting Technology Expo, produced by CFO Leadership. A powerful reminder of how rapidly the finance function is transforming — from AI and automation to smarter, more integrated tech stacks. As an SC, this environment is where I thrive: diving into the hands-on “Stack Hacks,” exploring deep integrations, and translating complex finance-technology challenges into clear, actionable solutions. One of the absolute highlights for me was getting to interview Erik Leavell, Director of Finance at April, in one of the FATE sessions — and wow, that room was overflowing. It was a testament not just to Erik’s insights, but to how engaged the finance community is around modern tech, consolidation, and real-time financial operations. We hosted 200+ engineers at Campfire HQ yesterday for our first ever hackathon at our new office. Campfire's AI engineering team presented the challenge to participants to build an app related to self-evolving agents. This event got me thinking... The size of our physical footprint has changed how we operate at Campfire. We are now the largest tenant in our building and I've been told the largest ERP footprint in San Francisco. We expanded our office footprint for our rapidly growing team that has grown 5x in San Francisco since the start of summer. We're now adding 3-5 new employees per week. I didn't fully appreciate that the added space would allow us to build community and bring people together in person. Beyond our hackathon, it was a busy week at Campfire HQ: 1/ Hosted an onsite implementation deep dive with one of the fastest growing AI companies ($10BN+ valuation). 2/ Hosted a full day product training onsite with a top five ERP implementation firm that is building their Campfire practice. 3/ A customer was in town from Dubai and stopped by to meet our team. 4/ Every Friday is Funday Friday at HQ - this week our employees (Campers) participated in a clay painting! 5/ Hosted 10 onsite interviews for candidates across every team.
