Meet Komal, Supply Chain Analyst III at Mary Kay! Check out her journey Q&A below as she celebrates 5 years. ✨ Q: What do you love most about your role and the work you do at Mary Kay? A: I love working in a role where I can collaborate closely with the team by listening to them, supporting them and finding meaningful ways to help the team grow. Everyday I come in with a smile on my face because the people I work with truly care about each other and these supportive relationships make working with them a lot easier. I find joy in every opportunity I get to work towards organizational goals and that has helped me in every step of my rewarding career at Mary Kay. Q: What has inspired you to continue growing in your career over the past five years? A: My peers inspire me everyday to keep growing everyday! In addition to people, the work I do on the day-to-day basis is challenging, impactful and highly motivating which keeps me working toward the next version of myself. I have learned a lot from my peers and the leaders around me to unlock a better version of me through all these years at Mary Kay. I look forward to my future at Mary Kay! Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting their journey at Mary Kay? A: My advice to someone just starting their journey is to soak up the experience and embrace the Mary Kay Way! There is a lot of learn from inspiring people around while building meaningful relationships! Our employees and local community showed up by running, walking, biking, and volunteering to support the Mary Kay Ash Foundation® mission to end cancers impacting women and eliminate domestic violence. This annual event raised over $250K, funding breakthrough cancer research and grants to nonprofits fighting domestic violence. The Mary Kay Ash Foundation has received the Circle of Care Award from Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation at the 26th Annual Celebrating Women Luncheon, a recognition to those who make a difference in shaping the future of cancer care. 💕 For nearly three decades, the Foundation has stood firm in its mission to find cures for cancers affecting women. Through the generosity of countless supporters, we’ve contributed nearly $2 million to Baylor Scott & White, helping fuel lifesaving research and hope for women everywhere. Our support has advanced the TRIM-EBC Clinical Trial, led by Dr. O’Shaughnessy, exploring how weight loss drugs may reduce the risk of breast cancer reoccurrence. “Mary Kay Ash envisioned a world where women live free from cancer and domestic violence. Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants joined the Direct Selling Association in Washington, D.C., for Direct Selling Day to share their stories and highlight the positive impact of running their own direct selling businesses. Across the U.S., 6.1 million individuals participate in direct sales, generating $36.7 billion in annual retail sales (Source: Direct Selling Education Foundation, 2022). We continue to partner with trade organizations like the Direct Selling Association to advocate for an ethical and fair environment for our independent beauty consultants to conduct their businesses.
