The Los Angeles Rams will become the first donor for LA28’s fundraising effort to provide local non-profits with free tickets to the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games. The donation is set to be celebrated at the Rams vs. Buccaneers Sunday Night Football matchup on Nov. 23 on NBC and Peacock, where the Rams will kick off the initiative with a $5 million donation. As excitement builds for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the LA28 Organizing Committee announced a fundraising effort to get free tickets to the 2028 Games into the hands of local residents. LA28 welcomes individuals, organizations, philanthropies and leaders to participate in this effort, helping ensure that the Olympic and Paralympic Games are accessible to and reflective of Los Angeles and its communities. 2028 Stadium, which was built by Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke as the anchor of his 300-acre Hollywood Park development, will host the Olympic Opening Ceremony and Paralympic Opening Ceremony for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and will be converted into the largest Olympic swimming venue in history. The Los Angeles community can learn more about early access tickets and receive the latest news at LA28.org. Read more about the Rams involvement here: https://lnkd.in/dZhadmQg

The Los Angeles Rams and Hollywood Park are calling a new play with S.T.E.A.M., launching a free interactive program to educate Los Angeles youth on career opportunities within sports and entertainment. On Tuesday, the program officially launched with the first S.T.E.A.M. Squad School Visit featuring Rams running back Kyren Williams at Bunche Middle School in Compton, CA. The visit, one of several presented by Cedars-Sinai, featured Rams and Hollywood Park S.T.E.A.M.-focused staff hosting interactive panels and field activities. Teachers were led through a session on how to get the most out of the program's educational videos and lesson plans. S.T.E.A.M. focuses on five different areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. In partnership with Cedars-Sinai and California Resources Corporation, the program, designed for fourth through eighth graders, features short films that showcase Rams and Hollywood Park employees' everyday S.T.E.A.M. jobs. The career profiles are aimed at sparking students' interest in S.T.E.A.M. with a goal of inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The Los Angeles Rams Foundation today announced housing support for local families who were displaced by the devastating wildfires that swept through the Los Angeles area in January. Through this effort, the Rams Foundation will cover one year of rent for two Los Angeles families who lost their homes in the wildfires. Additionally, the Foundation will provide rental assistance to five LAUSD employees who were also displaced, helping them secure stable housing as they rebuild their lives. The Rams Foundation has spent the past few months working with the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, The Change Reaction, and the Los Angeles Unified School District Education Foundation, the 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm of the district, to identify families most in need of support. The rentals will be sourced through Zillow Rentals, which simplifies the property search process and provides comprehensive data on each listing. To help the families furnish their new homes, Bob's Discount Furniture is contributing $15,000 in furnishings. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g-Nz_HpW
