The sound approach to drop-of-blood analysis

About us

Levisonics Inc. is developing an innovative platform technology for low volume non-contact analysis of blood coagulation, polymerization and fluid rheology, referred to as “acoustic tweezing rheometry”. By using a drop of blood, the acoustic tweezing technology enables safe, fast, reliable, and comprehensive assessment of bleeding and thrombotic risks in neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. This technology can also be used for real-time quality control of food, liquid and gel products during manufacture or processing.

Happening This Thursday at the 2025 #InvestInWomenFounders Summit! 1:15 PM: Join us for one of the most anticipated conversations of the day: 🎤 Topic: "After the Summit: How Women Founders Keep Building & Thriving" Moderated by Rhaya Shilts, Founder of Jackson Sky Creative This discussion brings together two remarkable Startup Ladies alumnae who have continued to scale, lead, and innovate since being featured in the Top 9. ✨ Meet the Moderator Rhaya Shilts, Startup Ladies Ambassador and sponsor, founded Jackson Sky Creative in 2008, growing it into a full-service design agency specializing in custom, strategic website and design solutions for more than 100 companies and organizations. With a background in graphic design from Indiana University, Rhaya built her firm on the belief that design and functionality go hand in hand. Beyond her creative leadership, she has spent over a decade volunteering with Paws & Think, a nonprofit dedicated to improving lives through the power of the human–dog connection. 🩸 Nithya Kasireddy, PhD, CEO of Levisonics Inc. Dr. Kasireddy leads Levisonics, a medical device startup revolutionizing blood coagulation analysis through its acoustic tweezing platform technology. Her innovation provides faster, more comprehensive results from smaller blood samples — especially impactful for pediatric care. She combines scientific depth with entrepreneurial leadership, having secured significant non-dilutive funding and participated in NIH-C3i and EF’s Female Founders Fellowship programs. 🧬 Diana Caldwell, CEO of Amplified Sciences, Inc. Caldwell leads Amplified Sciences, a clinical-stage diagnostics company developing early detection tools for pancreatic cancer and other diseases. A veteran of 25+ years in life sciences leadership, including Eli Lilly and the Purdue Foundry, Diana continues to shape Indiana’s biotech ecosystem while advancing life-saving technology built on Purdue-licensed chemistry. This panel explores what happens after the spotlight — how women founders sustain momentum, navigate challenges, and thrive with the support of The Startup Ladies community. 📍 1:15 PM – 1:45 PM | Skyline Club, Indianapolis If you’re joining us Thursday, don’t miss this conversation on what it really takes to build, scale, and sustain success beyond the pitch. 🎟️ - A few tickets remaining! Co-Founder, President and Chief Scientific Officer at Levisonics

At the end of April, I visited two beautiful West Coast cities: Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. I gave invited talks in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University and in the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington about two biomedical acoustic technologies developed in the lab: acoustic tweezing coagulometry (ATC) and mechanochemical disruption (MCD). Our recent data demonstrates the clinical utility of ATC in measuring hemostatic function and monitoring anticoagulant therapy and the potential of MCD in cancer cell reprogramming. Big thanks to Owen McCarty and Tom Matula for the invitations! Here is my photo with Tom near the UW Oceanography building.
