🚀 Exciting news today! We just launched self-serve OCG upload with AI rule extraction — and it's going to change how law firms handle compliance forever. Here's the problem we're solving: 📁 100s of OCG PDFs scattered across systems ⏰ Weeks of manual work to extract and apply rules 🗓️ Delayed corrections causing long billing cycles 💰 12-20% revenue loss from compliance-related write-downs 🔄 The same violations happening month after month Now, here's what our AI does automatically: ✅ Reads outside counsel guidelines ✅ Extracts all time-based rules ✅ Maps those rules to specific clients and matters ✅ Enforces compliance at point of entry (not weeks later) ✅ Automatically creates compliant narratives at the point of entry—and instantly notifies timekeepers if they manually draft a non-compliant narrative Reduce write-downs. Bill faster. The firms winning on realization aren't hoping for better discipline. They're automating the problem away. Check out the quick preview below. And read the full details at our blog post in the comments.

Thanks to Alexis Ohanian Sr. for spreading the word about our State of Work report 🙏
When it comes to AI, most firms are flying blind. But Laurel was built to show how people REALLY spend time, turning invisible work patterns into data that leaders can act on. Their latest report has the receipts ↓ 30% of time goes unsubmitted (~3 hrs/day gone) Max focus: 15 min (!) AI users billed +0.7 more hrs/week That’s lost revenue AND proof AI ROI is measurable. Proud to back this team redefining how the world works. Check out the full report ↓ https://776.vc/3LU3fcM

Thank you Non-Billable for covering our State of Work report 🙏 Our mission is to give professionals time back for the things that matter, and the first step in that is understanding how time is spent. If you're wondering "where does the time go?" check out the report linked in the comments. https://lnkd.in/e8EdYNaN

We're thrilled—and so honored—to have Igor join our board of directors 🚀
As AI continues to change the world, I have been on lookout for interesting AI first companies that are changing Enterprise space. I have been introduced to Ryan Alshak , CEO of Laurel . Laurel uses AI to help companies minimize time entry “leakage” with direct and immediate improvement to billable revenue in the range of 10% to 15%. As a secondary(!) benefit Laurel’s technology helps customers measure and improve productivity of their employees. Ryan and I hit it off. This is a unique company. So, I decided to join their board of directors.

You know you’re onto something when momentum starts compounding on its own. One of our new AEs just crossed $1M ARR in a single quarter - only 4.5 months into the job 💰 Last year, our top ramped AE closed $1M for the full year... Every AE is at or ahead of ramp, the motion is clicking, and the energy across the floor is electric. Can't wait for the record to be broken again in Q4 💥 We’re adding a few additional AEs to the team. DM me if you want to come and build with us in NYC or London. Let's go Tank Lasse Eric Dwayne Sam Kourosh Ryan Danyele Alexa Lauren and the full Laurel GTM team! Ps. we also handled an office move on the last day of the quarter. Our offices do offer more than just desks :)

Folarin Okulaja this week at Future Lawyer USA, breaking down why lawyers don't have time for this sheet.
⏱️ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁 Every law firm leader knows the problem: lawyers losing billable hours to broken time tracking methods. Critical business decisions made without real data. Revenue left on the table. Folarin Okulaja, Client Advisor at Laurel , is demonstrating their #AI 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 platform - showing how firms are turning time tracking from a compliance headache into a strategic asset. 🚀 Excited to see Eric Zaarour speaking on a LegalTechTalk webinar on Oct 22nd (8AM PT / 11AM ET)! The topic: how law firms are shifting from volume to value using AI. Eric will be joined by Chris Grant from Goodwin and Komal Gupta from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to discuss: - Automating low-value work so lawyers can focus on what matters - Actually measuring AI's impact (not just hoping it works) - Moving toward value-based pricing models - Getting clients on board with AI-enhanced services At Laurel, we see this every day—when firms understand where their people actually spend time, they can make smarter decisions about where to deploy AI and how to prove its ROI. Register at the link in comments. Who else is thinking about this shift from billable hours to outcome-based work?

Thank you Edward Hartman for your kind words on the Pearls On, Gloves Off podcast 🙏
On the latest episode of Pearls On, Gloves Off, Edward Hartman (co-founder of LegalZoom) put it simply: “I’ll tell you one that I’m excited about. It’s called Laurel and what they do is they answer the question that a lot of firms have about… And by the way I have no financial interest in Laurel, I’m just impressed by them. The thing a lot of firms ask themselves is what would be a good flat fee. How could I know, based on an engagement, what is a flat fee that I can put forward where I am not going to wind up with my pants down. And that’s what they do. They help you to understand what would be a good non-billable hour fee arrangement that you can put forward with confidence.\ The firms themselves don’t have confidence…and so increasingly firms will turn to Laurel to say: how can I use AI to predict what would be a good alternative fee arrangement that I can put forward with confidence. Laurel answers the question every firm has but struggles to solve: What’s a good fee?” The future of professional services pricing is fixed fee. The only way to set confident fees is to understand your true cost of delivery. As the only AI-Native Enterprise Time Platform, Laurel is *the* company with that data. 🎧 Hear Eddie’s take at 42:06 → https://lnkd.in/gBfXqTRi
