Landmark Properties and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) have announced the sale of an eight-property student housing portfolio to a partnership between Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI) and Global Student Accommodation (GSA). The transaction, valued at more than $1 billion, includes 6,200 beds across Tier-1 university markets and reflects the strength of the Landmark-ADIA platform and continued institutional demand for premier student housing assets. Landmark Properties, in partnership with Henderson Park, is bringing a new student living experience to Charleston, South Carolina. Located at 500 East Bay Street, The Mark Charleston will offer 335 beds across 99 units, just steps from the College of Charleston and the Cooper River waterfront.   The Mark Charleston will offer a mix of studio to six-bedroom apartments and will feature 18,000 square feet of amenity space, including a clubhouse, three rooftop decks with views of the Charleston Harbor and Ravenel Bridge, a pool deck, fitness center, computer lab and multiple study areas. The development will also include ground-floor retail, covered parking and the revitalized Blanken/Matson House, which will be transformed into a dedicated study space known as “The Library.”   Read more about The Mark Charleston below!

As part of our strategic expansion across the UK and Europe, Landmark has submitted plans for a new purpose-built student accommodation scheme at 120 Suffolk Street – our first major development in Birmingham.   Located adjacent to the Mailbox, one of the UK's largest mixed-use destinations, and just minutes from New Street Station, the site will deliver around 500 student bedrooms, premium amenities and vibrant communal spaces. We are excited to announce the acquisition of an 11.2-acre site on Westerly Parkway in State College, Pennsylvania, where we will begin development of The Retreat at Westerly - a 546-bed, cottage-style student housing community located just one mile from Penn State University.   The Retreat at Westerly will feature a mix of townhomes and garden-style buildings offering two- to five-bedroom units, all fully furnished with modern finishes including quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and private bathrooms. Residents will enjoy a 10,500-square-foot clubhouse and amenity area with a resort-style pool, pickleball court, sauna and cold plunge, multisport simulator, study lounges, and more. We’re proud to announce the closing of our first UK site - William Road in central London. This marks a major milestone in Landmark’s international expansion and our commitment to delivering high-quality student housing in the UK and Europe. Located in London’s Zone 1, just steps from UCL and Regent’s Park, the development will bring 225 purpose-built student beds and premium amenities to one of the world’s most dynamic university neighborhoods. The sale was facilitated by the Student Property team at Knight Frank, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Centurion Corporation Limited on this exciting new chapter.
