The mission of the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreations (LA County Parks) is to serve as stewards of parklands, build healthy and resilient communities and advance social equity and cohesion. Led by Director Norma Edith García-Gonzalez, who also oversees the Los Angeles County Regional Parks and Open Space District, the vision of LA County Parks is to be a world-class parks and recreation organization.
