Recruiting Top Talent for the Construction Industry

On this Veterans Day, and every day, we honor the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. Their courage often meant time away from loved ones, so that our families could live in freedom and safety. My grandpa, Larkin J. Foster, fought in WWII and put his life on the line for this great nation. I’m forever grateful for his service and for all those, past and present, who have done the same. May we never forget that freedom isn’t free. Land of the free, because of the brave. 🇺🇸❤️🙏 #veteransday #thankyouforyourservice

Record pay. Record demand. Record opportunity → and most people still have no idea. If you’re in construction or the trades, you can feel it happening. The market has completely changed. Skilled workers aren’t just in demand, they’re being fought over. Mike Rowe just shared a story that says it all: he toured a data center in Texas and met three electricians under 30. Each had been poached three times this year… and every one of them was making over $240,000. That’s not luck, that’s what happens when skill meets massive demand. For years, we pushed the 4-year degree as the only “successful” path. But right now, the trades are proving you can earn six figures, provide for your family, and live a great life debt-free and in demand. When Mike was asked, “Do you know where the tradesmen are?” His answer was perfect: “Yeah, they’re in the 8th grade.” It’s time to change the conversation. If you’re an employer → invest in your people and build a place they want to stay. If you’re in the trades → your value has never been higher, own it. If you’re a parent or mentor → show the next generation that the trades aren’t a fallback… they’re the future. Because the truth is this: the people who build our world are finally getting the recognition and reward they deserve.

Change tests you. It strips away comfort, distractions, and noise, and shows you who’s really built for it. Some people crumble when things shift. Others rise. I chose to rise. Every challenge, every curveball, every “setback” has only sharpened my focus and clarified my mission. So if you’re facing pressure right now, good. That means you’re in motion. That means growth is happening. Keep moving. Keep building. Keep betting on yourself. Because when the dust settles… the ones who kept their head down and their standards high always come out on top. It’s Friday, don’t coast. Double down. Lock in. Show the world what happens when pressure hits the right person. P.S. Shoutout to Darren McKee for the change of scenery inspo. Coffee on the golf course just tastes like… progress. ☕️⛳️💻

This morning I was sipping my coffee when my 3 year old son came over, pointed to my mug, and said, “Mommy, what’s this?” I smiled and said that’s a Bison. He stared at it for a second, then asked, “What’s a Bison?” So I told him, Well, buddy… when a big storm comes, most animals get scared and run away. But the storm just follows them, and they stay in it longer. The Bison? They do the opposite. They run into the storm. They face it head-on, push through, and come out stronger on the other side. He said, “I’m gonna be a Bison too, Mommy.” That line hit me. Because life is full of storms… at work, at home, within ourselves. We can’t control when they come. But we can control how we face them. Avoiding challenges only keeps us stuck. Facing them with courage, heart, and persistence gets us through faster and stronger. Whatever storm you’re in… Be the Bison. Run into it. Face it with faith and grit. Grow through it, not around it. Don’t wait for the storm to pass, be the reason it moves faster. “Personal Excellence is the Ultimate Rebellion.” – Andy Frisella 🦬🇺🇸☕️

If you think you don’t need a recruiter, here’s what you’re missing… When candidates interview directly with you, they don’t always tell you the full story: ➡️ They downplay the other companies they’re talking to ➡️ They avoid sharing how your role really stacks up ➡️ They keep quiet about offers already on the table That means you’re making big hiring decisions in the dark. But when they work with us, recruiters hear the truth. Why? Because candidates feel safer being transparent with a third party. We know: ➡️ Where else they’re interviewing ➡️ How excited they are about your opportunity compared to others ➡️ Whether you’re their #1 choice… or their backup plan And that information isn’t “extra.” It’s the difference between: • Getting blindsided by a declined offer • Moving fast and securing the hire before competitors can The value of a recruiter isn’t just filling a seat. It’s clarity. Speed. Protecting your time. Hiring without a recruiter is like playing poker without knowing the cards on the table. Would you really bet your business on a blind hand?

Everyone loves the big reveal… The steel rising, the skyline changing, the ribbon cut. But let’s be real: the magic starts way before that. It’s early mornings, mud on your boots, and staring at a hole in the ground that doesn’t look like progress yet. It’s surveying, digging, reinforcing, pouring your time, sweat, and patience into something no one can see. Because in construction, we know: if the foundation’s not right, nothing else matters. And it’s the same with your career, your goals, your team. The unseen work is what holds everything up. The time you spend learning the craft, navigating setbacks, managing chaos, that’s your concrete pour. It’s not flashy. But it’s what makes towers stand. And when your moment comes? It’s unshakable. So if you’re in the dirt right now, building, grinding, waiting… Don’t rush it. You’re not stuck. You’re setting the foundation for something massive. Let them watch the skyline rise later. You’re busy laying the groundwork now.

Recruiting Top Talent for the Construction Industry

3 years ago today, God put my greatest responsibility in my arms. My son, Jayce. 💙 I’ve always been a hard worker. I’ve always chased success. But becoming his mom flipped a switch I didn’t know existed. Because one day, this little boy is going to watch how I live my life… not just what I say. This year, I bet on myself and started my own recruiting company. Not because it’s easy… but because I want him to grow up knowing: 👉 You don’t wait for permission to chase your dreams. 👉 You build something you’re proud of. 👉 You create a legacy your kids can stand on. Time flies. One moment you’re rocking your baby to sleep… the next he’s running around asking a million questions, watching your every move. When Jayce is old enough to understand, I want him to look back and see a mom who showed him what’s possible. Happy Birthday, buddy. I love you. Mama’s just getting started. 👊
