Biiig life update! I moved across the country and joined Hebbia in New York! Five months later and... I can happily say I am so glad I did. Hebbia and NYC have been a whirlwind of new experiences, new friends, and new discoveries.
In my first quarter, I made 450k+ line changes in our codebase and shipped a dozen features, including:
- Doc tagging + expiration
- Dark mode + Smart filters
- Rewriting our company-wide selection state logic
Recently, I got my biggest challenge yet: 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭.
In one month, I set out to 0 → 1 an integration-rich mobile app that lets our customers seamlessly query their company’s data. What initially seemed impossible is now a reality.
With the herculean efforts of Morten Bruun, Christie Chang, Connor Soltas, Arjun Mahesh, Greer Chapman, Laszlo, Ellis Geary, Ben Devore, Aabhas Sharma, and Rob Day, Hebbia is now live on the App Store!
It was the most intense project I’ve ever worked on and still doesn’t feel real.
And to celebrate the launch, my amazing manager Ben Devore gifted me a mini snowmobile ❄️ 🏍️ (because my name is Snow and we shipped mobile 😅 took me a second too).
Seeing how AI is transforming longstanding workflows in finance has been incredible. At Hebbia, I’m super happy and proud to be witnessing it firsthand. If anyone can do the impossible, it's this company.
I will be forever thankful to my past team at Microsoft for showing me what good code and good culture look like. Mohamed Rouatbi, Michal Burstein, Kevin Hostler, Hassan C., Igal Shapira, and everyone I worked with in Olympic Hawks: you all are the blueprint I hope to emulate. The years I spent with you taught me so much, and I’ll always be grateful. I miss and think of you all the time! ❤️
