But don't you fear this spectral gleam, It's just a weld, not what it seems. Our HAYNES® STELLITE® 6 alloy ever so grand, Meets mild steel in fusion planned. Porosity plays a crafty game, To form the face without a name. Zoomed in twenty times, behold, This ghostly appearance brave and bold. Eyes and mouth, a spectral show, More "boo!" than fear…as you now know. 👻 This ghost is actually a metallographic cross section of an open-arc, fusion weld that was made by depositing HAYNES® STELLITE® alloy No. 6 tube rod into a mild, steel-toe joint. The picture really does hang in *𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙩* our metallographic laboratory. Happy Halloween!
