As we wind down the fall season, we’re celebrating our Fall Habitat University class of homebuyers! 🎉 They’re moving on to construction, and a few families will even close on their homes before the year ends. We’re so grateful for their commitment to partner with us and excited for what’s ahead. We’re also welcoming more families to join the 2026 class! If you know someone serious about purchasing their first home, introduce them to our program. 🏡 #HabitatUniversity
Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity
Non-profit Organization Management
Providing and preserving affordable homeownership in Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion & Shelby County.
About us
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We envision a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Since 1987, Greater Indy Habitat provides access to education, house construction, and mortgages for low-to-moderate income buyers to purchase a home without being cost burdened. Each Habitat homeowner completes financial literacy and home maintenance classes, in addition to building their future home. Partnering with corporate, faith, and individual donors and volunteers, Habitat for Humanity provides local households the opportunity to purchase and own their first home. Habitat also preserves homes through owner-occupied repairs and provides housing solutions in El Salvador and Kenya. To learn more or get involved, visit indyhabitat.org.

Get Ready for Something Big!✨ We’re counting down the days until we close on our 900th home! Since 1987, our Habitat affiliate has grown to serve five counties in Central Indiana, providing a hand up to local families on their journey to homeownership. Our home designs may have evolved, but our heartbeat remains the same—bringing people together to build hope. We’re grateful to our incredible community of supporters, homebuyers, staff, and volunteers for helping us reach this milestone! Stay tuned for our celebration to come!🏡 #900

That’s a wrap on the 2025 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, hosted by our friends at Austin Habitat for Humanity! This was the first CWP since President Carter’s passing, and we’re honored to have been part of it—celebrating his legacy and continuing the shared mission of building affordable homes. Two of our board members and four Tiger Team members joined hundreds of volunteers from around the world to help construct 25 energy-efficient homes in Whisper Valley. We’re grateful to the Austin and Habitat for Humanity International teams for their warm hospitality and to everyone who made this unforgettable experience possible. #CWP #HabitatforHumanity

That’s a wrap on the 2025 Multifaith Build! This year, 20 faith groups came together to put their faith into action, building panels for two future homes. What started as a chilly morning quickly turned into a day full of energy, community, and collective purpose. Huge thanks to our sponsors — Ascension St. Vincent's and Second Presbyterian Church — Indianapolis, who also hosted us at their beautiful facility. This event truly reflects the heart of our mission: bringing people together to build hope. #MultifaithBuild #CommunityInAction #FaithInAction #HabitatForHumanity

In 2002, Jolie partnered with Greater Indy Habitat and longtime sponsor Delta Faucet to build a place of peace, stability, and love for her growing family. More than two decades later, she celebrates a milestone few achieve – a fully paid off mortgage. Paying off a home is more than a financial achievement. For Jolie, it means peace of mind, a legacy for her family, and a dream that’s been decades in the making. Our affiliate is proud to celebrate Jolie and every homeowner like her. #PaidInFull #AffordableMortgage ➡️ Read her journey of homeownership up to this point: https://lnkd.in/gP3MpnPy

Here’s a great volunteer opportunity with our partners at Home Repairs for Good! 🛠️ This Saturday, join the Fall Repair Fest to serve the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood — supporting older homeowners with disabilities by tackling the repairs that tend to pile up. While Habitat is known for building homes, our work also includes repairs, and we value the efforts of like-minded organizations like Home Repairs for Good. 👏 #VolunteerIndy #FallRepairFest #HabitatForHumanity #HomeRepairsForGood https://lnkd.in/gnxSk3TB

Today marks an exciting milestone! We’re hosting a panel build in partnership with Indiana University Health in support of Qimmah and her family—the first step in building a home in our Hope Landing development in Hendricks County. Hope Landing community will soon be home to 16 families, made possible through partnerships with Avon Christian Church and Family Promise of Hendricks County. With the help of our friends at Duke Energy Corporation and LandWorx Engineering, we’re raising the walls and building hope together. Thank you to everyone who joined us today to kick off this journey! Learn more about Hope Landing and how you can get involved here: https://lnkd.in/gXGMzhhg
