More than 350 students made life-changing decisions for Christ during Gridiron Day 2025! This year, over 1,150 students, coaches, and school leaders from across Carrollton, Villa Rica, Temple, Bowdon, Heard County, and Alexander came together at Roopville Road Baptist and First Baptist Villa Rica. From football players and cheerleaders to band members and mascots, these events reminded us how powerful church-school partnerships can be. God is moving in the next generation!

Leading a healthy church isn’t easy, and every pastor and ministry leader knows the challenges that come with it. There may not be a one-size-fits-all approach to ministry, but strong churches are built on the same biblical foundation: mission, vision, values, and strategy. When your church understands and lives out these principles, you’ll be well on your way to building a faithful, Christ-centered community that fulfills God’s calling.

It’s National Bible Week! This week invites us to pause and remember the unshakable truth that anchors our faith: God’s steadfast love and amazing grace revealed through His Word. Here are a few verses that remind us of who He is and all He’s done: 📖 John 3:16 📖 Psalm 103:8 📖 Isaiah 40:31 📖 Romans 5:8 📖 Philippians 1:6 📖 2 Corinthians 5:17 As we reflect on Scripture this week, we’d love to hear from you. What verse keeps you grounded in the goodness of God and the hope we have in Christ?

Choose one day in 2026 for your church to gather and pray for revival, unity, and a great harvest of souls. Why? As we look ahead to our 2026 evangelism focus, we’re calling churches across Georgia to join us in Prayer 365, a movement to fill every day of the year with prayer. When God’s people pray, things change. Let’s believe Him for a mighty work in 2026!

We are so thankful for three days of fellowship and encouragement as Georgia Baptists gathered at the Annual Meeting. Together, we left equipped, inspired, and ready to engage our communities with the gospel. Reaching the 7 million lost Georgians will take all of us, working faithfully in our neighborhoods, churches, and communities. A special thank you to First Baptist Atlanta for hosting such a meaningful time of connection and vision-casting. As we return to our churches, let’s carry the encouragement, tools, and shared passion for the gospel into every corner of Georgia. To view the sessions, visit https://lnkd.in/e6jz68Nn

God is at work in Georgia, and we saw it affirmed at the 2025 Georgia Baptist Convention Annual Meeting! Today, messengers celebrated the election of faithful, godly leaders to guide our churches in the year ahead. Steve Browning, Pastor of First Baptist Church Alpharetta, was re-elected as Convention President. Serving alongside him as Vice Presidents are Trea Brinson of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church and James Oney of Liberty Baptist Church. Let’s praise God for these men called to serve and lift them up in prayer as they lead Georgia Baptists in proclaiming the gospel and strengthening churches across our state.

On the final day of the 2025 GBC Annual Meeting, Thomas Hammond delivered the Executive Director Report, and it was a stirring reminder of the work God is calling us to as His Church in Georgia. We celebrated stories of churches already coming alongside one another while looking ahead to the 2026 Evangelism Initiative and Prayer 365 campaign, which will equip pastors and lay leaders to reach the 7 million lost souls in our state. Encouraging stories, including pastors finding renewal through wellness retreats and churches stepping up to carry the mission together, remind us that no one bears this call alone. Gifts of resources and faithful obedience are helping the gospel go forth to those who have never heard and will continue to do so in the year ahead. The message is clear: our mission is urgent, our task is God-sized, and our Savior has given us a plan. Every church, every pastor, every believer has a role to play in presenting Jesus to “Everyone.Everywhere.”, and we are determined to see it done.

Georgia Baptists have set up a statewide focus on reaching the lost. The Keynote Speakers at the Georgia Baptist Evangelism Conference, Jason Britt, Bartholomew Orr, and Dr. Anthony George, reminded us that the mission has not changed. Revival is still possible, the Word still works, and the harvest is ready. Through their messages, they challenged us to return to the heart of evangelism by loving Jesus, loving what He loves, and reaching those who are lost. Now is the time for the church to realign with His mission, sound the alarm, and faithfully step into the fields that are ripe for harvest. Join us in taking action today. Pray for your community, reach out to those around you, and be part of the harvest God is sending your way.
