It was an exciting moment for CFO Jeff Norman when over 200 University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business students crowded the auditorium, overflowing into the hallways. Jeff was invited to speak to sophomores at the University of Utah as part of an ongoing series of seminars from notable businesses and leaders. He talked about his personal career journey, gave advice to the students, and finished with a Q&A. The presentation also included a spotlight on Extra Space Storage as the largest publicly traded company headquartered in Utah. It was a great setting to connect with future business leaders and provide firsthand examples of the many career opportunities available within a large, growing company. Congratulations to our 2025 Executive Development Program (EDP) graduates! 👏😎 During the 6-month program, these nine individuals had the opportunity to dig deeper into leadership methodology, create personalized development plans, and participate in an intense presentation skills course. However, the capstone experience was a 7-week project identifying a current business problem, researching potential solutions, and presenting their plans to our executive and senior management committees. EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! 🤩 We have several internal promotions within our operations leadership team, along with two significant upcoming retirements. JANUARY 2026: Matt Walker, DVP in Boston, will retire after nearly 26 years with Extra Space. He started his career as an assistant manager at site 1047, then became an SM, DTL, DLM, and DM before leading his division for the past 12 years as DVP. Matt has consistently embodied our values and culture and has helped shape Extra Space into the company we are today. Myles Sigman will be promoted to DVP in Boston joined Extra Space in 2017 and currently serves as a Senior District Manager in the Southern Massachusetts market. A lifelong New Englander and University of Massachusetts graduate, Myles brought extensive leadership experience from the retail industry before joining our team. FEBRUARY 2026: After more than 25 years with Extra Space, Alex Engel will retire from his role as SVP of Northeast Operations, a position he has held for nearly 12 years. Alex’s leadership, strategic insight, and deep commitment to his team have left a lasting impact on our company. Michael James will be promoted to SVP of Northeast Operations! Mike joined Extra Space 25 years ago as a Store Manager in New Jersey and has since held several leadership positions, including District Manager in Philadelphia, Director of Operations Coordination in Salt Lake City, and most recently, DVP for New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Tammika H. will be promoted to DVP in New Jersey! Tammika joined Extra Space in 2019 and has led markets across NYC, Connecticut, Upstate New York, and New Jersey. Before joining Extra Space, she spent 13 years with Abercrombie, rising from part-time associate to District Manager and working in the Nashville, Indianapolis, and Tampa regions. Let's give it up for Aleina Chettayar, District Team Lead in Haltom City, Texas, as the Team Extra Space Volunteers award recipient! 👏 Aleina is recognized for her dedicated work as a club leader and mentor with Academy 4. This is her second year volunteering with this organization, where she is focused on building positive relationships with fourth graders who come from economically disadvantaged schools. Academy 4 is a leadership mentoring program for fourth graders with the goal of building hope in children who come from low-income schools where their potential can often be overlooked. Volunteers commit to building positive, supportive relationships with the students. The program ensures each student is paired with a dependable adult, providing consistent love, care, and encouragement necessary for them to believe in themselves and their leadership potential. The “Team Extra Space Volunteers” program highlights our employees for their volunteer work in the community. Aleina will receive a $1,000 bonus along with a $1,000 donation from Extra Space Storage to the charitable organization she volunteered with. #TeamExtraSpace #selfstorage #volunteering

What a fun Partner Conference together in Orlando! 🌴🌞 It was great to meet face-to-face with our many self storage partners, and we hope you all enjoyed the three days of informative content and engaging activities.
