Here's the story behind a sticker in Guido Van Rossum's hands, and a joke that unexpectedly appeared in the Python Documentary: In January I met Guido at the meetup we co-hosted in San Francisco. I introduced myself as previously from the Bazel team at Google, to which he immediately responded with "Ah, Bazel - they got stuck on an old version of Python in Starlark!" This was exactly the joke behind the sticker we made at EngFlow for BazelCon 2024, so of course I laughed and gave him the sticker. Eight months later, it unexpectedly surfaced in this Python documentary, as I learned from our customers! Creation of this sticker was another fun story, with the prototype I quickly sketched in watercolors from the joke and description given by my colleague Benjamin, which was then professionally drawn by a cartoonist overnight, just in time for BazelCon. In all seriousness though, I am so grateful and lucky to work with and learn from these extraordinary engineers every day, core team members behind Python, Go, Bazel, Gazelle, Zoekt, go-fuse, Play Framework, who contribute to open source for the benefit of all developers, and give insights to our customers and team members in everyday interactions. We're back at CppCon, The C++ Conference as a proud sponsor. ✨ While we're all deep-diving into the finer points of C++26, EngFlow is also solving the build performance problems that hit every large C++ codebase. 🚀 We're transforming how you actually build all that glorious code. 😎 Let's discuss build acceleration, remote execution, or just talk about the future of C++ tooling. #cppcon #cppcon2025 #cpp

Mike Blands back with another one. 🤘 He's been putting in the hard work of exploring Bzlmod in depth, so you don't have to. Check out the 11th blog in Mike's Bzlmod series, and stay tuned for more! #bzlmod #bazel #scala
Bzlmod and testing, two of my favorite things. Plus a little rules_scala announcement. https://lnkd.in/eJKNBW-4

Celebrating the Bzlmod project with Mike Bland's 10th Bzlmod blog! Thanks to this blog series, and Mike's Bzlmod Migration Bootcamp at BazelCon, we hope all Bazel projects will have a smooth migration. Bzlmod migration is essential to focus on as WORKSPACE is no longer available in Bazel 9. 10th Bzlmod blog: https://lnkd.in/ezeMgWqB BazelCon bzlmod training: https://lnkd.in/g9iAaDSz #bazel #bazelcon
