The Order of the Blade may sound like a creation of J.R.R. Tolkien, but it actually comes from Dollar Shave Club. Rather than a guild of warriors, the organization is Dollar Shave Club’s new ad agency staffed by 23 of its customers. The agency isn’t replacing the shaving brand’s internal creative team or any of the creative shops it typically works with. Instead, Dollar Shave Club worked with creative agency Humanaut to craft the idea for The Order of the Blade, a team that handled the creative strategy and execution for a new campaign that launched today.
