What does “eating well” mean across Europe? It depends where you ask. - In most surveyed countries, “eating well” is first and foremost about quality and freshness — over 70% in the UK, Spain, Italy, and Germany. - France is the exception: Pleasure and taste come first for 62% of consumers (compared with 27% in Germany and a little over 40% in the other countries). - Notions of balanced diet typically come next, ranking second or third depending on the country.
